Customers are impressed with the long battery life and ease of use of the 37-Mile, 22-Channel FRS/GMRS 2-Way Radios. Many users found them simple to operate and convenient for quick communication needs. However, a significant number of customers reported that the range is not as advertised. The actual range achieved was considerably less than the advertised 37 miles.

I bought these to use on a cruise ship. Needless to say I was on high hopes that they would work but I knew structural and lots of Interference was likely. Overall they didn't work on the boat. On our stops though they worked well in the town's on foot fairly far apart. They do have some interference issues with Bluetooth in newer Ford vehicles. They would not work unless my phone was not streaming music to my stereo.

Fairly good radios. Definitely do not have a 37 mile range. I've gotten maybe 1/2 mile. The biggest issue is that the clip is nearly useless and hard to clip on and breaks fairly easily.

these are decent for normal use, but dont plan on using them for cross country car to car use unless you are within 1000 feet of each other on the highway. Any further and they are just useless.
Even with the boost option... they are just one step away from a kids toy. I was not impressed at all with these. I had realy high hopes for them too.

Speakers needed to be broken into for full sound

I noticed when I took this up to snowboarding, one of the walkies were significantly quieter than the other. It almost seemed like the speaker needed to be "broken into" as in making it play static on the loudest volume for a good 5-10 minutes before the walkie started working to its full volume. After having my other friend blow into the mic on the same channel, it seemed like the quiet walkie talkie finally worked. No issues then. Worked on the slopes with no issues with signal on a big resort.

I have had the opportunity to try lots of walkie talkies recently so I had the advantage of knowing what I like and don't like. In this area of "amateur" walkie talkies I have found these to be far superior to others in a similar price range. They are a touch larger and heavier than the competition but that gives them a feeling of quality and power. They fit my hands and the buttons are in intuitive places as opposed to others where I kept hitting the wrong button or just missing the talk button completely. We use them primarily while traveling with other RVs so the distances and terrain are constantly changing. Obviously the 37 mile claim will never be reached unless you and the other person are on top of peaks with a 37 mile valley in between. But the range is more than line of sight and there's a boost button which doubles the transmission power. The bottom line is that we are very satisfied with these units.

Bought these because my wife wanted to be able to "call" the kids who are now big enough to go to the neighborhood playground by themselves, but we don't want to get them cellphones quite yet.

We tried using in a 12 floor apartment complex from 10th floor to the garage floor. They didn't work very well that far apart. It said 35 mile range but not apparently through concrete. But worked ok the rest of the way down. Cell phones didn't work either so can't fault the walkie talkies.

Radios work fine, but nowhere near the 37 mile advertised range. We were able to communicate about 1 1/2 to 2 miles on a dirt road. VOX is a bit sketchy

The product has been receiving 3 1/2 stars on many sites due to range and battery life. Realize most walkies will get about half the range on a good day. That and batteries never last all day long on higher end products. That said they’re pretty good if you expect that from the product.
It’s not military grade secret squirrel stuff but it does the job and they work pretty well for cheap walkies.

They’re definitely for outdoor use, its hard to get even 1.5mile range around a suburban neighborhood but otherwise its good for calling the kids back inside in the neighborhood, and great for outdoor camping.
