Paid for it's self in the first month.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as intended. Notified of upcoming situations at range. My only downfall would be the Velcro. It didn't stick to the unit. I put that to the heat of the unit and sun. 100 percent satisfied.

Falses a lot, but detects radar as it should
|Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good detector if you don't need arrows like the R8, very good price. Will false K-band a lot but detects Ka-band very well, especially line-of-sight. Auto mute is a godsend.

Great radar detector-Worked well for long trip
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as relacement for an older Escort detector (9500ix) based on reviews. Chose the R4W as I really don't see the need for the diretional arrows on tha face of the detector - Sensitivity is great, false signal rejection seems to be way better than the Escort and as claimed. Identofied varoius types of radar accurately and at a good distance and really helped with a 2,000 round trip. Would recommend and would buy Uniden again!
