Great radar detector-Worked well for long trip

Purchased as relacement for an older Escort detector (9500ix) based on reviews. Chose the R4W as I really don't see the need for the diretional arrows on tha face of the detector - Sensitivity is great, false signal rejection seems to be way better than the Escort and as claimed. Identofied varoius types of radar accurately and at a good distance and really helped with a 2,000 round trip. Would recommend and would buy Uniden again!

Falses a lot, but detects radar as it should

Good detector if you don't need arrows like the R8, very good price. Will false K-band a lot but detects Ka-band very well, especially line-of-sight. Auto mute is a godsend.
