Pair the Radar Module with a compatible Thinkware dash cam to extend its parking surveillance duration while reducing power consumption when set to Energy Saving Mode. The Radar will detect motion and allow the dash cam to prepare to save an event clip. If an impact is detected, a 20 second video (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact) is saved in a dedicated folder on the MicroSD card. When no impacts are detected, the dash cam does not save the footage and resumes Energy Saving Mode.
- Moon detection: Adding the optional Radar Module enables the dash cam to detect movement and record events leading to an impact while remaining in Energy Saving mode, so you have video evidence of the whole incident with footage of before and after the impact.

Q: I have a thinkware arc 700 with a radar module plug in. This module won't work with this model?
A: Hi there! Radar module is compatible to use on Thinkware ARC 700.
Q: Is it applicable for both front and rear camera?
A: I only needed to buy one Radar Module for my vehicle. From what I can tell, it's installed beside my front camera. I was lucky to have techs at my install site know what they were working with since one of them used the Thinkware cameras specifically on their personal vehicles. I have an Arc700 Thinkware front and rear camera, so my guess is that since the Thinkware produces video for front and rear at the same time, it records as movement is detected, and locks the recording if it determines that there was an "incident" to the vehicle, giving about 20 seconds of footage before and after something passes.
