Customers admire the Basic Monthly Plan 4G LTE 3-in-1 SIM Starter Kit's affordability and ease of setup. However, many users find the limited data allowance to be insufficient, leading to rapid depletion. Concerns have also been raised regarding inconsistent call quality and the necessity of using a specific app for calls and texts.

Network is ATT.
Price is good. Sim kit, unlimited talk, text, 1GB 4G data then at 2G, bought at $20 for 3 months, renewal will be at $10/month.
BAD: must download their app. Every thing is done through the app, phone, text. The app interface is very poor, too crowded, small print. Your phone's dialer and message app does not work.
Be careful of automatic add ons when you buy stuff.
Customer service: impossible to reach them. Tried for several days over and over. Their lines cut off the call for any thing other than sales and sales people were unresponsive to tech assistance questions.
The internet seems to work fine.

JULY 2019 Review: NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE STAY AWAY!!

I made the mistake of trying out Unreal Mobile because of the price without considering just how bad that decision could possibly go. Well after a month long nightmare being held at their mercy I am finally back with my old carrier. The result is I've lost my old numbers because they somehow screwed up and lost them when I ported in and somehow couldn't get them back and even when you try to leave they will take forever to let the new numbers you get from them to be ported out. I'm old fashioned. I'm used to having something called customer service, well they don't have that. There has literally been no actual human being I've been able to speak to during my month long open ticket to get my problem resolved. They only communicate via email from Monday to Friday Pacific standard time and you get a new rep to reintroduce your problems to every 3 days because they rotate out their staff. Also remember to double check every extra service item you uncheck when you first subscribe. They recheck the boxes you don't want, then you wait forever for a refund. Lol. Now for the actual service: You have to go through their app to do all your calls and texts.
It drains your phone battery like crazy plus the app always closes out inadvertently. Aside from calls being constantly dropped, you also have no way to see any missed calls because their app does not register that so it becomes a really fun guessing game. Fyi I say missed calls but what I really mean is folks have to call you twice because the first will always not go through. Trust me. Another thing, there is a satellite-like lag and sound on all your calls. It took me a second until I noticed everyone I spoke to always waited a minute until they responded to me. Calls are never clear they are choppy. The messaging app sucks and is not as good as your default app your phone came equipped with. You cannot be in group texts. The data coverage is at&t supposedly so it was good while it lasted but it burns out quick because all of your calls and texts use up your data since it has to go through their app which always runs in order for your service to work. I know there are more things I've been upset with regarding their service but it's been hard to remember things since I've dealt with them. That along with high blood pressure their service will give you.
There is one thing I have really come to appreciate through my short lived relationship with them: a memory of a reliable phone service with my previous prepaid provider. This service will make you appreciate the little things in life like being able to have a successful phone call. What can I say it's been "unreal."

have $10 UNREAL plan on my iPhone

got the sim starter kit to try out the UNREAL cell service. needed it for my iPhone to have cellular data for when away from my wifi. it worked, me happy, and so went ahead with the $10 plan. and imho, $10 per month UNREAL service with 1gigabyte LTE cellular data and unlimited 2G data afterwards is a tremendous value at a great price. thank you so much to the folks at UNREAL MOBILE. really love this cell service because usually on wifi but need cellular data when away from my wifi. the calls are an extra because myself really not make many calls. the sms texts are a good necessary extra for me also, although myself usually on whatsapp for my texting. this is the perfect solution for me when away from my wifi and need good cheap cellular data. pop in the sim card into my unlocked at&t iPhone, set the APN, and it works. easy peasy. so, thanks again to UNREAL MOBILE for providing UNREAL at this crazy affordable $10 price.

What is unlimited 2G good for...data rollover NG

The 4G LTE DATA roll over is capped at 500 mb...so why offer it... Folks 1G of 4G LTE is great BUT the unlimited 2G is worthless not even GPS works unless you download the maps first, you can't stream anything at such speed replying to emails SUPER slow too. Now if you are going to talk & send a few text go for it BUT it does NOT offer call waiting so incoming call calls goes to voicemail...again only if you just need to talk & text. Hope this helps...Yes, I tried it their life support is great but I opted to cancel after 20 hrs...they refunded quickly too

don't expect to use features of iPhone!

My experience with unreal mobile... when they say something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Nowhere, in ANY of the reviews that I read, did I see that you have to use their specific app for EVERYTHING. Including text messaging... which means having an iPhone is totally pointless because you can't iMessage. STRIKE 1. The service was also subpar. My husband uses cricket (also ATT network) and I was using Unreal. He had service and I didn't in certain locations (both with the same model iPhone). STRIKE 2. They took their sweet time releasing my number for me to port out, but eventually did it by the end of the third day, but what REALLY frustrates me is that they charged my account again after my number had been ported out! When I ported out from Cricket to Unreal, there was nothing left for me to do. The number was no longer in their system, so I was no longer paying for a service. Simple, right? Wrong, at least not with unreal. I ported my number out but they continued to charge me. And they won't even acknowledge the ticket that I submitted for a refund. They also make it impossible to initiate certain activities from your phone. I had to log into the computer website to initiate a port out and to actually cancel my account. STRIKE 3. But really, if you have an iPhone, don't even bother, because you won't be able to iMessage. Later Unreal. I wish I could say it has been real... but it hasn't. End rant.

Service is mediocre as to my experience. It is OK for my kids usage.
All was good for the first two months, on the third month they added service fees. My monthly total is now $12.99 per month. I will drop this service. BestBuy should look into this since it is sponsoring this vendor.
