I have been using the Vankyo smart projector for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say that I am very impressed by it. I have had several projectors in the past and they have all cost at least double of what this model does. Those other models did not have the built in smart features. My first impressions were that it did not feel very hefty, it actually felt almost like a toy. It is not very heavy. It also includes a 100 inch projector screen that is made out of fabric. I actually like the remote, as it is a standard smart feature remote that is commonly found in some basic smart TVs and Android boxes. The only thing i did not like was the screen, as it needs to be perfecty flattened out to eliminate the wrinkles, which is vary hard to do. This is common with thee types of screens however. I actually prefer to project on to my white wall in my spare bedroom. The setup of the actual projector is extremely easy. As soon as you boot it up, it auto calibrates the focus. It does a very good job at this too. It prompts you to setup the wireless internet right after. Then it immediately takes you to the home screen, in less than 5 minutes. The interface is very smooth and navigating is extremely responsive and fast. I was very suprised to how fast navigating the menus is. Nothing is glitchy or buggy as well. I started streaming from my favorite streaming services, and I was lost in the contect with how beautiful the experience was. A huge brilliant screen with clean HD picture. The speakers are also very nice and loud, with clear sound. I was actually suprised with the quality of the speakers. I even had to lower them at one point. Overall, I cannot enough good things about this projector. It is extremely high quality for the price point. I can promise you that you will not be dissappointed.

Many think of good projectors as expensive pieces of tech that are only affordable to wealthy individuals. Well, that is far from the truth. The Vankyo – Leisure 570B 1080p Smart Project is a great projector at an even greater price. I have used a range of bad to excellent projectors, and I will have to say that this is an amazing projector for those who aren’t looking to break the bank. *TLDR at the bottom (last paragraph) Unlike some other projectors, this projector comes with everything you need to start watching your favorite TV shows and movies right out of the box. Everything that is included is the projector, 100-inch white screen, remote control (no batteries included), HDMI cable, power adapter, cleaning items, and some documentation. The addition of a remote control and the 100-inch screen is a nice touch. The projector also has haptic feedback buttons on the top for navigation and powering on/off the device. Setup does not take long at all. Find a good place to hang up the screen, place the projector in a good location, and turn it on. Also, be sure to remove the protective lens cap. Go through the initial setup, and the projector will boot into the home screen of Smart TV OS. This OS is similar to something you would see on a smart TV with multiple applications available, input options, and a built-in app store with a limited number of apps. The UI is easy to navigate but I did notice at times, that there is some latency between the remote control and the projector taking those inputs. It’s not too bothersome but I did want to point the minor nuisance out. There is an HDMI port, two USB ports, AUX, and AV in for any external device that you would like to plug in. I spent most of the time using the built-in applications like Prime Video and YouTube. I did use the screen cast feature with my Galaxy S21 Ultra but while it looks good, there is a lot of latency with the sound. I would not recommend streaming videos from your phone but for anything else, the screen cast feature works great! Now, whether you want to use this projector in the daytime or at night will affect the image quality drastically. I will start by saying this projector should be used in a semi-lit to dark room for optimal viewing pleasure. I tried using the projector in the daytime and the image does get extremely washed to the point that dark scenes are indiscernible. On the other hand, this projector seriously stands out in the nighttime or a dark room. The 1080p resolution looks great and the colors aren’t faded like some other projectors I have used. Animated films like “How to Train Your Dragon" also look great in terms of color accuracy. An underrated feature that this projector has is the speakers. In many cases, the built-in speakers in projectors sound cheap. Vankyo did not want to pursue that route and decided to include excellent-sounding speakers. I was seriously blown away by how terrific the speaker’s sound was. They get pretty loud too! Overall, this is a solid budget-friendly projector. I recommend using this projector in a semi-lit to dark room since using the projector in the daytime will reduce image quality drastically. Luckily, this projector stands out the most at night and all your media will appear great and sound amazing with the surprisingly good built-in speakers. The included 100-inch screen is a nice touch as well as the remote which there tends to be some latency that isn’t too much of a nuisance. But if you are looking for a remarkable projector, without breaking the bank, you cannot go wrong with this one!

    Decent Budget Projector

Overall, this is a decent little budget projector. If you are expecting a super high res quality projector with outstanding brightnes, then this is not what you want. If you are looking for a small versitile projector for portability and basic functions, then this is a nice one to go with. Out of the box, it comes with everything you need to make it work except batteries for the remote. It includes, the projector, power cable, remote, HDMI cable, screen with hooks/adhesive, and a lense wipe with q-tips. Setup was simple. Put batteries in the remote, plug it in, connect to wifi and you're ready to go. Pros: - Wifi, bluetooth connectivity with pre-loaded apps such as Netflix and Prime Video. I found it very easy to log into my accounts and start watching. - Auto-Focus was pretty spot on with the option to fine tune the focus. - Picture quality is fairly decent once adjusted to your envirionment. - Ability to connect to a bluetooth speaker for a fuller sound experience. - Small footprint with an agle adjustment foot on the front bottom center of the unit. Cons: - My unit projects a black spot (on the bottom left of the screen) that seems to be inside the lens. There are instruction on the bottom of the unit that show how to fix this with the included q-tips. I still need to try this out. When looking into the lens, I can see clear finger print smudges on the mirror. This seems like an obvious quality control issue. You can see the black mark in my pictures. - The sound is not overly immersive (but isn't bad for small spaces). I tested with 2 different bluetooth speakers. One did have a sound lag as the manual said there may be, but the other was in sync with the movie. Some consistency with audio processing would be nice. - The picture could be a bit brigher even after manually adjusting the brightness. You will want to use this in a dark room, or if outside, you will want it to be decently dark out. - The screen is not very good. I actually found that I gor a better picture projecting on a blank wall without the screen. It seemed that the screen reflected a lot of the light and lessened the quality of the picture. I think this projector definitely has its place. For me personally, it will do the job of what I am looking for; that is a small, lightweight, portable projector that I can move from room to room and even outside. The picture quality is right where I expected it to be for this pricepoint (excluding the quality issue with the black mark inside the lens). My family and I are definitely looking forward to using this for outdoor movies over the summer!

It is so rewarding to watch the progression of technology over the years. It was not long ago that the three-tube CRT projector weighing well over a hundred pounds and retailing for tens of thousands of dollars was the only quality projection method other than a film projector. Now we have advanced to a point where for only a few hundred dollars, a small, feature-rich projector can compete pretty well with those behemoths of yesteryear. In the case of this Vankyo Leisure 570, at only a few pounds and a fraction of the size of a small woman’s shoe box, with the inclusion of some major streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and the inclusion of a rudimentary 100” projection screen, the value proposition is remarkable. I am amazed at the capabilities of this little projector and how far this company’s products have come in just three years when my son last bought a previous generation of this same brand. His projector is still going strong and I was impressed with that one even considering that I have had experience with many generations of CRT and LCD projectors that were all incredibly more expensive and required intricate setup alignments. Speaking of setup alignments, the Vankyo has a built-in camera facing the screen to help automate the set-up of the screen size, focus and keystone. You can select these set-up areas to be automated, as well as others, in the settings list. This saves a lot of time and takes some of the hassle out of the process. What you get in the box with this product is, of course, the projector including a lens cap, a power cord and power supply, an HDMI cable of about six feet in length, a bag with some long Q-Tip’s and cleaning aids, a remote control, a 100-inch simple projection screen, a quick setup guide and a multi-language user manual. This device is a native, 1080P, 1920 x 1080 projector employing LCD technology and an LED light source that means you will not need to worry about replacing lamps or dealing with excessive heat creation. Connections include a single HDMI input, two USB type A ports, a composite 3.5 mm A/V input and an analog 3.5 mm audio output. There are two, small, on-board speakers that sound decent, and will do in a pinch, but to really inhabit the size of your projected image, please use some larger speakers. It would also be wise to boost the audio capability to overcome and/or distract from the loud fan noise. I wasn’t sure if the fan was defective or just loud until my son reminded me that his previous generation model was just as distracting. There is only a single, ¼” threaded boss located in the bottom of the case intended for the use of mounting, that fortunately allows use with camera tripods, etc., but doesn’t provide for the use of a standard, fixed, VESA-mount that the previous-generation model enjoyed. The unit itself is somewhat plain, and does not rely on any kind of physical or format differentiating design as some recent competitors have. The model number on the bottom of the unit itself does not match the box or the model number it is sold as, and most likely indicates that these units are branded with multiple names and model numbers in different markets. But that’s ok, as this is a budget unit that offers great value and versatility for a small amount of cost. I am impressed with this projector for its intended purpose, casual, leisure use. However, when compared to more expensive installation projectors, this unit does not have the dynamic range, contrast, color gamut, and brightness to compete. But it works great for a highly portable, flexible device with great internal streaming capability and reliable Bluetooth capability. I am looking forward to using this outside this summer. The hardest part will be locating some tiny little lawn chairs to fit my Minnesota mosquito friends while screening A Bug’s Life!

TL;DR: 1. SETUP: Plug in the Vankyo - Leisure 570B Smart Projector, turn it on, take off the silicone lens dust cap, follow the directions on screen, wall or whatever you’re projecting it at. 2. USE: I started to look at the instruction manuals, but it was so simple following the projected image’s directions. Once signed into Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Video, you are done - and there is an App Store and web browser, too. 3. USABILITY: It’s simple. Once you’re signed-in to the apps you can use the softkeys on top of the projector or on the included remote (just make sure you have AAA batteries on hand, as it needs 2 of them). 4. OVERALL: I was surprised how easy it was to set up. I remember school days when things like there weren’t. I haven’t been able to use it yet outside (which I think would be fun for the warmer months ahead). Inside, when it’s sunny, but not in direct light, the picture gets washed away slightly. When it’s overcast or in the evening, the picture is very clear 1080HD.
I’m still deciding on where I want to permanently place the 100” white screen, so I have just been projecting onto different white or light colored walls in my house. It really feels like movie theater!
While setting it up, you want to ensure it has a stable WiFI connection. The picture is easily customizable with the remote or projector settings. The sound quality is as good as any TV. If you want additional sound quality, you can attach speakers, headphones, a soundboard, etc, via HDMI or Bluetooth connection.
It has a temperature sensor within the settings. The longest I’ve run it for is about 2 hours. It gets to 50°C/122°F relatively quickly and then stays there - it sounds like there is active ventilation with fans. The wall plug gets warm, but I didn’t check the temperature with an infrared thermometer. I would say the wall plug is warmer to the touch than the projector. When using, I’ve ensured there is open ventilation to both. I really like this projector. It’s not as mini as some, but can be portable. It gives good picture and sound quality and will be fun to use for outside movies in the summer with the family.

Got this for the kids. Wanted something that could be moved around the house and used easily. Simple enought that the kids could setup on the fly. This little projo does the job at a modest cost. Setup was simple, plug into the wall, aim at the wall, turn it on. The unit does a self assessment and auto focus. You can adjust a little bit in the menu but no manual zoom or focus. So it works great for the kids. I'm a bit more OCD though and want a perfect size lol Overall the performance wasn't bad. A bright room would present a problem but in a room with minimum light or night. The brightness wasn't to bad. I wouldn't want to watch a blockbuster movie on this but for general gaming or a Friday night movie it works really well. The kids use it for a movie in their room with friends. Audio is the killer here. It has built in speakers and if you are sitting next to it, its not bad. We ended up linking an external speaker for enhannced audio. The screen included works, easy to setup and gives you a white surface to project onto. Altough you will have some wrinkles even if you stretch it. While I don't expect near the quality of my dedicated Home theater screen. This one works decent. Overall, easy to setup, easy to use. works. not a bad price. I won't worry if the kids mess with it or use on the daily. Might even try it out for movie night at the pool! For reference on space needed. We got about a 85" screen at about 9 foot back.

The Vankyo – Leisure 570 – Smart Native 1080P Projector with WiFi and Bluetooth, Mini Portable Projector with 100” Screen – White is a great addition to my outdoor setup. I have been wanting an outdoor projector for some time, but the hassle of setting one up and getting going was a deterrent. I can honestly say that the instructions for this projector are excellent. It made set-up a breeze. First, it comes with several preprogrammed popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Disney+. If your app of choice is not listed, you can use the provided HDMI cord to connect your laptop for screen sharing. I did that with the MAX channel. It worked well and had clear instructions for beginners. You can also use your phone via the “wireless projection” option to share your screen. The instructions easily walk you through the process as well. When I read the word “portable” in the description, I thought that the projector would be battery operated. The projector does require a standard wall outlet to power on. If you are planning to use it outside, you will likely need an extension cord. It would have been nice if a carrying case would have come with it for storage when not in use. The box it comes in has a handle on top, so I will just reuse the box for storage purposes. I have enjoyed using the projector indoors and outdoors. Where I live, it is very hot, humid, and windy here right now. When taking the projector outside, I needed to clean the condensation off the lens. Not to worry, they provide a cleaning cloth as well. The projector does not work on a brick wall. A white projector screen is needed. The provided 100-inch white screen works well and comes with some small white tabs for hanging. The tabs look like they are permanent (double sided foam tape), so be sure you want them where you choose. That was a nice surprise because hanging tabs are not listed in the description. The provided screen has hanging instructions on the plastic bag, which they recommend reusing for storage when the screen is not in use. I have also invested in a 100” free standing screen for easier outdoor use and portability, especially if I decide to use it away from home or out in the yard. There are many free-standing screen options to pick from and they are not very pricey either. The picture quality is crisp and the colors are vibrant. I have no complaints with the picture. The sound carries well and the speakers do a good job handling high volume. I did use the Bluetooth speaker option, and that added a lot more bass. The projector probably can’t do a high level of bass without affecting the picture. I imagine it would wiggle if the bass was high. The projector also has other built-in apps that are cool to explore. I found some live TV options and watched a couple old episodes of ALF. Some of the apps ask you to make an account, or there is an option to skip that step and just view as a guest. The minimum projector distance from the screen is 4 feet and the maximum is 20 feet. The specs say that the maximum viewable screen size is 200 inches, so it looks like you are not limited to a 100-inch screen. The projector comes with a remote control, and it also has controls on the top of the projector as well. This is great in case you happen to misplace the remote. The projector box has a clear plastic film on top. There is a green tab sticking out so you can remove it. However, there is a sticker that says, “To redeem warranty, keep the film intact.” It found that to be confusing. Why place a tab for easy removal if you’re not supposed to? Some people see it and just go with their instincts and remove the film. I will be removing the little green tab to keep away the temptation of ripping that film off.

Summer has finally arrived in the Northeast and we're looking forward to doing things outside. I was looking for a good, versatile projector for watching movies by the pool that won't break the bank, but still has all the modern amenities. The Vankyo 570 leisure fits the bill almost perfectly with built-in Wi-Fi and licensed streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime video so all you have to do is plug it in and start watching. Well, almost; you have to setup internet access, login to the apps using the onscreen QR codes, then you're ready to go. The projector is a lot better than I expected at this price point. The lightweight, sturdy design and included remote with shortcuts really adds value. The fact that you get native 1080p resolution with autofocus and keystone correction makes me think I chose correctly. It comes with all sorts of apps baked in: movie apps, TV, social media, foreign video channels, web browser etc. The speakers at first sounded barely decent, but when I changed the settings to Dolby Digital Plus, it became far better and crisper with reasonable Bass. You get the option to use an external speaker with either a Bluetooth or wired interface. The included 100" screen is made of a stretchy cloth and super white making it somewhat reflective though not enough to ruin the image. In the box, you get wall hooks with adhesive backing strips for mounting the screen, though I'm not sure it will hold for long considering the screen needs to be pulled out in order to prevent creasing. I used collapsible volleyball net posts with included bungee cords to set it up. When projecting at 100", I was surprised when I didn't get a faded image, it was sharp, crisp, and easily viewable after the sun went down. With regard to the auto-focus and keystone, it didn't work well. It focused fine most of the time, but the keystone was almost always skewed in one direction or the other. I always have to use the manual keystone coupled with moving the projector slightly to get a perfect size. The remote keys are laid out in a familiar pattern making it easy to get used to. When using the remote on an actual projector screen, it works pointing at the screen. When using the included cloth screen, you have to point toward the front of the projector. The fan is relatively quiet and does a good job keeping the temp down. The temp is viewable in the settings menu. No wifi, no problem, you can connect your smartphone using screen mirroring or connect a player with either HDMI or USB. I had a slight blemish located inside the projector unit with no apparent way to clean it. Contacting support over email, I received a response the following day to pull off the bottom black label to reveal a hidden door allowing access to the inner lenses. Using a cotton swab, I was able to clean the debris. Vankyo did a good job including all these features in a unit that would typically cost hundreds more from a big brand name. I think outdoor movies this Summer will be pretty awesome.

If you look up Vankyo, you might be surprised that you haven't heard more about their products. This company has been selling a wide range of projectors from low-, mid- to high-end(ish). I needed a projector for our weekend movies with the kiddos and so, I got the Vankyo 570. The unboxing was OK. You get the projector (with a lid for the lens), a 100" projector screen including some hooks, a cleaning cloth for the lens, a remote (without batteries, 2 x AAA needed) a HDMI cable and of course, the power supply. Everything looks good and the projector feels nice and sturdy. One thing I will have to mention is that when I removed the device from its plastic wrap, two of the tiny rubber "feet" were missing, I found them sticking inside the wrapper. I put them back on, but that didn't spell high QA at this point. Now let's get into the guts of the beast. This LED projector renders in a native 1080p resolution which is higher than some similarly priced products. It is actually semi-smart as well as it comes with WIFI and Bluetooth and offers built-in apps for Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube. You can also plug in pretty much anything you want such as a console or a computer as a source. The setup procedure is short and to the point with a simple interface and it will get you going in less than 5 to 10 minutes. Setting up the provided projector screen wasn't as great as it is very thin and the hooks are plastic with 3M tape to hold them in place. Suffice to say that it took me a bit until it was finally up. Unless you're in a bind, I would highly recommend to get a better type of screen than the one provided. As for the picture quality, it's good but not perfect. The 200 lumens are barely enough: The picture is very bland and you need to make sure you're almost in total darkness to get decent results. The 1000:1 contrast also doesn't help as the blacks are more of a slate gray. I do believe that a better screen would help (I have only tried the included screen), but do not expect any miracles. One very surprising thing was the sound quality, which is really good coming from such a small unit. Voices were clear and there was actual stereo. The fan is very quiet which also helps a lot as well. Would I recommend the Vankyo 570? Yes, but with some caution. It's a very solid projector which can deliver a picture of up to 200". But seeing as it struggles to deliver a bright and well contrasted image at 100", I wouldn't use it for more than just what it is advertised to be: a leisure projector package with everything you need inside the box for an impromptu movie night. If you plan on integrating it into a permanent setup, you might want to go with something different.

I can’t recommend this projector enough! The picture is wonderful, the apps work seamlessly, and for us, the sound is great!! We even sit right next to the projector and the fan noise doesn’t bother us either. Of course, we use subtitles and we’re not surround-sound-must-have people either, so I guess I don’t notice the sound issues others have. We have to yell out to each other or pause it if we want to talk, that’s how good the sound is to us. We can’t turn it up all the way, or it would be crazy loud! We did have to get used to the auto-focus when first trying to adjust where we’d display the picture. It was a lot of back and forth until we came up with the perfect combo to achieve the perfect clarity. We don’t use included fabric screen bc I need to steam the wrinkles out of it and even at that, it’s nowhere near the color and picture we get on our wall. . It wasn’t all that great, imo. We display ours onto our grey painted living room and watch on a huge screen now!!! We even bought a whole variety of popcorn and snacks to make it feel complete. It’s a lot of fun and an awesome value, imo!! Just splurge and buy one for yourself!! I think you’ll be impressed!

This projector is amazing! I got it to use for sewing patterns and it has been a game changer. Clear, crisp image, auto correction, and easy to zoom in and out to make sure the patterns are to scale. I also use it to watch TV when I’m not cutting patterns and I love that it connects to Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. It comes with a screen that is easy to install and has really strong double sided tape for the hooks. The sound quality is really good and it has a really sharp image. I also got the ceiling mount which is sturdy and easy to install. This projector not only looks great, but has been exceeding my expectations. I would definitely recommend!!

Projector, remote and screen is what you receive.. Pros: Good image, Light weight, it adjusts the clarity for you if moved, netflix built in, sound built in [but recommend a BT speaker if there are a decent amount of people], cover for the lens Cons: no storage case for all of it once box is opened, the screen is stretchy and the metal rings are already starting to come out of it, & the inputs are too close.. We went to use our firestick because you cant not download apps such as hulu/peacock/paramount+... The plug for the power is SO close to the hdmi when trying to use a firestick. But truly a good little unit, overall we are pleased.

    Small But Powerful

For a smart mini projector, this device is pretty powerful. It's nice to have access to Netflix and YouTube so that you can connect with your phone. The auto adjustment feature is a nice touch and the dispaly is pretty crisp. The only downside is that the app store is limited and built for a non-US audience. I'll probably consider using another casting device such as Chromecast or a Firestick.

This is the best projector for the price paid. The auto focus feature works out of the box. Sound quality if you don’t have an external speaker is adequate for small room viewing. Everything works as it should. Very intuitive. Amazing picture quality. I’ve had six previous projectors throughout the years. Running corporate presentation events, trainings, parties and even weddings. For what I paid, this thing is worth 3 times more.

I hesitated to purchase a projector because I've always heard you must buy expensive ones to get a good quality picture. But honestly, this projector was amazing! so easy to set up and super affordable!

Solid projector, speakers are loud, and can bluetooth an additional speaker. Having streaming apps aleady installed is nice, auto sizing and focusing works good too
