Best Buy For Verizon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The new 2017 Galaxy J7 for Verizon is much improved over the 2016 model. Nice big screen for Netflix, adequate camera, and 18 hours to 24 hours on a battery charge for typical use. The J7 offers 90% of the features of an $800 phone for a bargain price. It is GREAT deal for Verizon customers. Best Buy sells the terrific Incipio Advanced case for the J7 with a honeycomb texture that provides a VERY secure grip on your phone.

The battery gets really hot at times cause it freezes when playing some games or apps. I have to take the battery out to stop the issue and restart the phone. I do have to charge it everyday or battery gets low and phone shuts off. I do like the clearness of the screen and the pics it takes. It is slippery if you don't have a case on it. I think they design cell phones that way so you have to buy a case. I have a drawer of cases from other phones over the years. Only one other phone I thought better and you had to sign a plan for that. Will never sign a plan again for a cell phone. Service is great with Boost and they have great plans.

It's okay for the price.

Although the specs were about the same, the unlocked Motorola was so much faster. Same carrier, plan etc. I have disabled a lot of the junkware apps that came with this J7 phone, yet it still is so slow that I am constantly frustrated with it. It can take 10 or 15 seconds just to switch apps. Really, this phone is disappointing. However, it does do everything necessary. It just does it real slowly. I would not buy this phone again If I could do it over.

I have major problems with the phone disconnecting from my WIFI. My last phone was an LG and never had a problem like this in the 3 years i had the phone, other minor issues but not that. Do not think i will buy another Samsung device, well except maybe a TV.
