Speakers aren't the greatest, but you kind of have to expect that for the affordable price. Fun to have in the house and the kiddos love to play records; something they have never seen in this digital world.

does not work on Mac for digitizing

Last time I had a computer that came with a CD drive was around 2012. Secondly, I expected from the product description that digital conversion would be onboard the record player. Older images I've seen of this record player have a RECORD button, just stick in a flash drive and record your album to mp3, right? No, that's not how this works. This requires that you connect a computer and learn how to use very geeky open source software -- **if** you can even get that software running if you have a Mac. You can get around the "no CD drive in recent history" problem by downloading the app from audacity's website, but even on a computer with the proper specs as stated on the Audacity website, the app not only does not launch but completely hangs up your Mac requiring a hard shutdown. You will spend hours on the world wide web trying to find the answer to these problems and you will have to register on the Audacity forums, post your dilemma and hope that someone gives you an answer. Then if you can ever get Audacity to launch you will spend hours learning how to convert to mp3s from vinyl. Again, it's an open-source software title with no support from Victrola, and this is NOT an app for beginners and you will spend hours learning how to use it. If you only want a record/CD/cassette player & radio ... from the other reviews it seems folks are happy with this cute product. But if your goal, like mine, is to digitize your vinyls and especially you are on Mac -- or even on Windows but don't have a lot of time to learn an exceedingly geeky app called Audacity with no support from Victrola for their product -- look around for something different. I'll be very sadly returning my cute Victrola to Best Buy and will keep researching an easy way to convert my albums. Finally, the price on this at Best Buy is about $50 more than other outlets on the web.

Victrola Audio System

Big plus is that it’s 3 speeds! I can play my records from the 1930s and they sound fabulous! I’m very pleased.
