Required additional hardware to install in my Honda Pilot but was not notified online when I researched the device. The internet results indicated it had a smart phone app available. There was no information on the App and when I did find it after the device was install I found out it was pretty expense and it required a subscription fee to stay active.

All I knew was that I wanted a remote start for at least those days where it's too cold to be running out the house in pajamas through a foot of snow trying to clear it off of the car just to start it so that it's warm enough to be comfortable when getting in after getting dressed and bundled up for the inclement weather. What was not so obvious was the fact that it can defrost the back windows, unlock the doors, engages the daytime running lights, and has a shut-off mechanism to prevent theft. I even have a jealous co-worker because mine has a confirmation feedback that assures me that my car has successfully started. Thanks Geeks! (No Disrespect Intended)

I can't express more of how valuable this service was. The time and efforts Caleb and Brandon took to get my VW Jetta retrofitted with a remote starter was out standing. Caleb and Brandon are two professionals, courteous and simply the best out there. My Car is a German and very hard to work with and out of standard, but Caleb was up the challenge and my car was done on time and on budget. You can't go wrong when you have lifetime warranty on installation, and with reputable name like bestbuy, I would not go somewhere else to have some kids trying to hack to my car and simply ruin my life. For those two professionals Brandon and specially Caleb who did most of the work, I say, Thank so much. you were up the challenge and you deserve to be called real professional technicians. In January 2015, I moved to Illinois. I was able to withstand the cold, but there were a few days that were just unbearable to sit in my car. I was looking for a basic two-way remote starter, and this fit the bill. It is 100% reliable and I always walk to a nice warm car. I park in a covered, multilevel steel-frame garage at work just a bit over a quarter mile away, and it has always worked from the window of my office. I would highly recommend this product.

I only needed the remote starter as my vehicle already has remote locks and security. If you have a newer vehicle that only needs remote starter, this is the way to go. I bought starter on line with installation package. Of course though, you will need to purchase transponder and flux capacitor with more labor costs but when all said and done, the whole project was $450. That's fine cuz it works great. Just know that there are extra charges.

Purchase of the Viper 2-way unit was simple. The help from the automotive installation professional was perfect. Was able to understand the installation process and confident the installation would be done properly. The end result was excellent. The installation went very smoothly and use of the remote starter was explained well. The starter works from inside the building which is about 100 yds from the parking lot. Very pleased.

I went on December 11 bought the viper remote start for my wife's Christmas present. on the 30th of December they were supposed to install, then the rains came. they had to close the store the installers apologized for the inconvenience and on Saturday they called us and got her car in. Did a very good job and got her car done in a timely manner. Very proud of the best buy in Fenton Mo.

I have the item for almost two years now and it works great without any problems. Works from a pretty far distance depending if in city or country side . Had it installed by geek squad in Woodbridge nj, the guys there are truly professionals both on workmanship and towards customers. Till this day I have no problems after they installed system.

I bought this for my 2010 truck, I wanted just a starter, no other additions, since my truck already has power locks. I've found that it's better in some ways than a factory remote start - for example, the key fob makes an audible tone when it connects to start my truck, as well as a green led light. That's an option that's not available on any factory remote that I've seen.

I really like this starter. The distance that I can start my car from is awsome. I can start my car on the second floor of my workplace and my car is toasty warm by the time I walk out to the parking lot 10 minutes later. I also like that the alarm will sound different if the car is not in range of the starter signal so I know to try again.

I had this remote starter installed on my older Buick. It works great. I am about 100' from my car when I start it and it works every time. I just set my heat controls before when I park it and it is toasty warm when I use the remote starter to let it warm up. The install went smoothly as the Geek Squad did the install.

Great product , had geek squad in Woodbridge nj install it and they did an awesome job. Two way pager small and let's me know when car is started and I can even unlock doors with it . Works very well with my factory alarm . Lives up to the 1000 ft range . I'll start my car from two city blocks away.

I am very pleased not only with the ease of use , but the installation by Best Buy. With the cold weather here in Illinois, its finally great to come into a warm car with this remote start. Have been able to start it and never had a problem. Its great that the green light notifies you when its started.

This starter is ideal if you want remote start only with 2-way communication and a smaller fob; my vehicle has the lock/unlock/etc function fob integrated into the key, so the large four-button fob would have been useless. I've confirmed that the range is excellent and it is easy to use.

Viper worked fine after a glitch in the wiring - that shut the vehicle down during acceleration - was fixed asap. Purchased on-line with installation only to find the extra cost to install was more than original price and if viper was removed - complete installation in another vehicle would cost the same. Don't install and trade vehicles.

When I bought this starter I did not know what to expect, I am very satisfied with my purchase. This remote start is small and simple, there is only one button to push to stop and start the vehicle. I enjoy the simplicity of this without a bunch of other buttons to push. The size of they key fob is great too, a little larger than the size of a Quarter. I can start my car from my bedroom, kitchen, office, and the large building I work out of. It always starts on the first try, even if my car is not in my line of site.

Starter works as advertised with a confirmation tone indicating the car is started. Easy to use and more flexible than the old ones. Allows you to open the door with the remote with the engine running

The transponder has very good range... I can even start the vehicle without line of sight (even from the gym locker room). I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a remote starter.

Overall this is a great starter when bundle with the installation. The only downside of purchasing it online is that any other parts needed for your specific vehicle will not be included

Why did I wait so long to get a remote start? Easy to use and works fantastic. Never getting into a freezing or hot car again. Even works from my office to the parking lot!
