I've had the phone for a couple months and no real issues as of yet. Camera isn't as bad as some are saying. It gets the job done. No real issues with talk or text other than the ONE issue everyone seems to be talking about and that's you can't download picture messages on wifi which can be quite annoying. Just to disconnect and reconnect to download a picture msg is a bit much but not a deal breaker at all, especially if you have unlimited data and don't spend all your time on wifi anyway. I got a really good deal from best buy mobile. It was advertised on sale for 129.99 and I called several stores to confirm and after finally finding a store about 20 mins way I show up and they told me that it was only if your signing up on a new plan with virgin mobile, which I was not as I already had virgin mobile, so it would have been 149.99. I explained that I called several times and no one said anything about that detail of the promotion and they agreed to give me the sale price. It's a great phone but I would have to say if I paid $150 or the full price of $180 my rating would probably drop at least 1 star. The value is really in the sale price. Not to take away any features of the phone. Some are saying not enough space but I honestly don't see it. I have all the basic apps (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Youtube, Netflix, HBOGO, etc.) and still have a bit over 7 gigs left, which is plenty for me. keyboard works good. lots of things you can adjust. Overall just a really great phone. Again, if I was paying more than the $129.99 sale/promotional price it would drop a star. And I'd rate 4.5 if possible for the picture message issue, but 5 feels more accurate than a flat 4. Really can't get a phone with more features, or less problems for a better price.

found this phone to be a great buy not only for the price. it is quiet fast with the processor, holds a ton. very east to use. if i have one complaint it would be the camera, the could have tagged a couple bucks to it and upped the quality a little bit for sure...

Bought the J3 to replace an aging S3 that was beginning to act a little funky now and then. The J3 does just about everything the S3 did, but it seems that some things are amiss. For instance, some apps dissappear from the homepage after a restart, so I fixed this by downloading a different launcher, and this seems to have fixed that issue. Also, it can randomly restart on it's own for some unknown reason. Cannot assign a custom ringtone to individual callers, as the S3 could. Maybe a software update is needed to address these things? Regarding the mp3 sound, when I plug it into my car audio, I occasionally have to press the "Cast" button in order to get full fidelity from the mp3's. Otherwise, it sounds hollow and tinny through the car speakers. All phone functions are fine.Size is great - not too big- not too small. As a new phone to the market, there are not a whole lot of accessories available yet, other than a couple of cases. Hoping that will change.

We've used Virgin Mobile for 5 years now. It's so much better, cheaper and easier than a contracted phone. I really haven't noticed a huge difference in service from T-Mobile and AT&T, which were my previous providers. This phone was a nice upgrade from my HTC, that only had 4gb of storage. Even WITH an SD card, I couldn't download most apps. It was very frustrating. However, this phone is freedom!!! It has 16gb of internal storage. It can also be used as a wifi hot-spot. The battery drain depends on the usage. If you're not browsing the Internet or playing games, it can last a few days without a charge. The only con so far is limited picture editing software and no gyroscope. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

I have virgin mobile service and sometimes with virgin mobile there selection of cell phones can be limited. My first phone was a Kyocera rise which still works but dies very quickly so from there I got a LG Optimus F3 I was very happy until I ran out of storage then one day it just died. So I went with LG once again LG Tribute 2 it started out great until I ran into the same problem that I had with storage I had a SD card too. Then one day it wasn't keeping a charge on my phone so I decided to change it up and go online and read the reviews. Thanks for everyone who has ever given A review it helped me to get the right phone this time. My Samsung Galaxy J3 is great I have had it for about a month now and I haven't had any problems with storage or performance it is a very good phone for the low price well I paid $100 bucks but it is worth it. LG VS SAMSUNG.. "SAMSUNG #1 " THANKS for the great reviews everyone.

I bought this phone for my husband who was reluctant to use a smartphone. He was absolutely thrilled with it from minute one finding it easy to set up and navigate to different features. I have a higher end Galaxy and was surprised at the speed and battery life of the J3. I caught the phone on sale at an amazing price but even at full retail this phone is well worth the money. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable yet inexpensive smartphone.

Ive been a Virgin Mobile Customer for 12 years. My phone number has passed through about the same amount of phones. The Latest being this Galaxy J3. The Phone feels sleek, a tad fragile. Works ok but sometimes it hangs on apps. Comes with Headphones which is a plus and has nice storage. Picture quality is meh. Doesnt have loads of other things other phones do, but again, for $80 its a great buy.

The screen is of very good size and quality. The camera is decent. It has very similar apps to the s7.you just don't get the"fancy stuff". If you are looking for a good phone at a good price...this is the phone for you.

Larger than I expected. Sound quality is good. The one drawback is that when viewing videos, it freezes on playback. The 3g/4g/ LTE can certainly use some adjustmental improvements. Therefore, if you don't have to use your phone a lot and not really interested in the use of bells and whistles, then you're set.

I think the slower speed on this phone, now an older model, is compensated due to other features. 1.) Power Saving--very efficient power management. 2.) Adapt Sound--I use decent enough Monster Active Noise Cancelling Headphones & they sound even slightly better with this. 3.) Screen--not perfect, but better than other HD phones. 4.) 16GB hard drive--self-explanatory.

I recvd this Samsung phone as a gift/replacement for my LG Volt. It comes with all your good basic apps and isn't loaded with stuff you'd probably never use. It has no widgets and I do miss the emoji's my LG came with..The screen colors are great & it's a good size and weight for stuffing in my pocket.. On the down side, I'm very disappointed in the picture taking/processing features it offers. There is no taking a picture "by voice" option like my LG had, which was a great feature. The actual quality of the pictures I've taken so far, is what i consider to be poor (especially low lighting). My final & biggest issue is, its battery life. It drains very fast and I find it annoying to have to plug my phone into a charger in the middle of a day when it was 100% that same morning. But... all in all, this is a good little phone.
