    Decent Soundbar for the Price

I was looking for a decent inexpensive soundbar for our living room television. This was a Best Buy deal of the day for 99 bucks. I thought I would give it a try for that price. Received it and got it set up and working in little time. Decent sound and no external subwoofer to wire up. It is what it is... a cheap soundbar but it really has a pretty decent sound for a small to midsize room. This soundbar is somewhat tall, so be careful that this will work with your application.

I need to upgrade my Vizio TV speakers that sounded like someone was talking through an empty sliver can with two holes on each side. TV speakers killed my movie experience and sport. Bought the Vizio sound bar no sub woofer needed. Now, it's an amazing experience to watch a movie etc.. The only downside the bar has no digital display so, it takes time for figure out, but i knew that going in. I got a great deal; It's a no brainer. If you going to buy nice awesome TV save yourself lots of trouble later and just buy the sound BAR!

This sound bar really surprised me for the price. It has great sound and great bass! Sometimes too much bass lol. I recommend this sound bar for an apt complex or for a small living room. It works well with video games as well.

    Definate improvement over factory speakers

Very good speaker with lots of sound options. This provides an incredible improvement over the factory speakers. I really like having the ability to independently adjust the center and outside channels. I am able to keep the overall volume at a low level and project the voice with the center channel so that it isn't drown out by background sounds and music. This is beneficial when the kids are sleeping. I added a subwoofer that I already had which makes the overall sound incredible. I am also happy that I can control the overall volume with my TV vs needing two remotes. This would have been a show stopper for me. Not as much a function of the speaker, but more on the TV. I mounted the bar to an LG 55inch. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it can take a little time to cycle thru all of the inputs if you change between the TV input and Bluetooth. I also have trouble from time to time getting the Bluetooth to connect, but I believe this is due to having multiple devices (phones, tablets, ect) that are synced to it. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I recommend a subwoofer which didn't come with this soundbar. There are many out there that do.

It's a good speaker but the Bluetooth control system and operation is just a pain. Wish it had LCD display to figure out what's going on.

Your HD TV is great but the sound is not at the same level as the picture. Do you want a relativity low cost, small-ish footprint solution? A soundbar may be your solution. The Vizio soundbar offers a lot of bang for the buck. It's impressivly solid, includes a remote, batteries and all the cables (optical, too!) needed to hook it up at an entry level price. Sound quality is good for what it is (high quality TV speakers) but don't dream that this will replace excellent hi-fi or mid-fi speakers. Most soundbars priced below the stratosphere fall short in this regard. Voices are natural and a tad bit thin, but not bad and the sound stage is OK. I wish it (the soundstage) was a little wider, but it's fine with my 34" TV. Wider TV's might be impacted but don't let that dissuade you from trying it. What is does, provide good sound in a small package, it does well. The bass was lacking (my reason for removing a star) but I had an old powered Cambridge Soundworks subwoofer that easily integrated and fixed the problem. It can fill a small to medium sized room with decent sound and a large room adequately with an appropriately sized subwoofer, but don't expect miracles with the last scenario. Music via Bluetooth from my Samsung and Apple phones sounded great with the subwoofer and good without the sub. Speakers are a very subjective item, so take my sound review with a grain of salt. The features and quality of the amplifier are very good at this level. You definitely get a lot in a small package. For the price and market segment, this is a good quality product that's hard to beat!

I replaced my TV and surround sound system from the 80's to a 40" Vizio TV and this sound bar. I'm not an electronic wizard by any means and this sound bar was so easy to hook up. This now has become my favorite room again and I love watching everything from regular tv programs to bluray movies. I would highly recommend this product to someone that does not want to spend a lot of money but still wants great sound.

My elderly mother recently replaced her console TV with a rather inexpensive HD TV. Although she thought the sound was acceptable, it sounded very low-quality to me. So I bought her the sound bar for Christmas. I also bought the same model for my wife and one for my daughter. When I took my wife's out of the box and tried to hook it up, I could not get it to work. After two days of trying, I was fairly disgusted, but I then hit on the right combination. (With the TV setup configurations and the three methods of hooking the sound bar up, there was a whole host of combinations.) After getting my wife's sound bar to work, the other two were fairly easy. I was very pleased with the sound. I'm no youngster, so I'm sure I can't hear the whole range of frequencies, but to my ear it sounds a LOT richer than the TV speakers. I also experimented with connecting the device using bluetooth with my phone and my computer (wasn't aware at first that my computer had bluetooth). Those were very easy to configure and also sounded great. Because of the difficulty in connecting it originally, I thought about giving it 4 stars, but overall, for the price and performance, I couldn't do that in good conscience. I'd have liked to have a better set of instructions, but with all the combinations of hookup methods and different brands of TVs, I can see where that may not be possible.

Bought this during a black Friday special & I'm glad I did, sounds way better than using the TV speakers I wish I would have bought this sooner. Makes movies, video games & watching sports much more enjoyable. Easy installation as it comes with multiple cables so you have a few options to connect to your TV with instructions that are easy to follow. Also really liked that the soundbar had a SUB OUT connection so you can add a subwoofer to it later like I did using a subwoofer cable if you really want that rumble & movie theater feel. Overall it looks nice, sounds great, hooks up easily with provided cables also comes with remote. Used this in a medium sized bedroom with a 46 inch TV.

The sound from this sound bar is 100% better louder and clearer than what you would get from a TV that cost 1000 or less. The sound is good and I like that you can connect your phone by Bluetooth and hear music or if you connect your tablet you can hear your movies from your tablet. Waking up to music from your sound bar is really cool.

Bought this to replace an older (broke) Vizio Soundbar with wireless sub. This model does not come with a sub, and has "deep bass modules for added bass." We thought it would be better to have everything all in one, not having to worry about more wires, more things to plugin, etc. Cost was also appealing. The sound is good. But it's not the same (to me) without the sub. I think we will be adding one eventually.

I picked this up during a pre-Black Friday deal for $100. I own a new Vizio 60 inch 2015 model and this sound bar compliments it nicely. With any "slim" profile HDTV, the speakers are going to be meh. It's a trade-off that's worth it IMO. Sound quality and set up are easy. It took 5 minutes using the optical cable provided. The nice thing about a 3.0 is the dedicated center speaker to voices. I found voice sound to be a bit muffled using the Vizio 2.1. This unit has built-in added Bass which is adequate especially if you don't have the added room for true 5.1 surround. I paired my 60 inch Vizio to my Verizon Fios controller and the sound bar is mostly controlled by the same controller as well. You can control volume and the mute function. If you need to access other functions you'll need to use the vizio controller. No need to ever shut the sound bar off; it shuts off automatically after about 10 minutes of not receiving a signal. I use the sound bar for blue tooth connection to my iPad/iPhone as well which is a nice added feature. No need for any additional blue tooth devices. Overall, I've been using it for over a month and I'm very happy. It's good sound for the $$$ - much better than the TV speakers.

Almost bought this soundbar as open box item. Then it became available as a deal of the day. So the price was even better. Easy to hook up. Had a little trouble with the digital optical hook up. Did not want to go in far enough. Was able to get it to work and used the digital coax to hook up the satellite receiver. Now able to understand dialogue on TV shows and audio from Movies is great. A great product for the price.

Bought this sound bar for my mother in law for a birthday present. She has a Vizio flat screen with terrible sound since the speakers are in the back of the panel. This sound bar was easy to set up, connecting in just 5 minutes. The sound is great and makes a world of difference when watching TV.

I wanted to replace my old home theater system and not spend a lot of money. After talking to BB associate, she told me about the Sound Bar. It was a perfect upgrade/replacement to my old system. It's a lot better than all those small speakers and subwoofer. I am very happy with my purchase.

This soundbar has reasonable sound despite not having a subwoofer. It has numerous inputs, but no HDMI. It is best if you use the ARC out on your TV and set this to the correct input and leave it alone. It has Bluetooth, and sounds great paired to an iPhone or Android because the speakers are further apart than a normal Bluetooth speaker. However when switching between inputs it is difficult to see which one you are on because two LED lights in a string of 8 lights will flash. For example, if when you switch to TV in, the two lights which are second from the top will flash. To switch to bluetooth, you click "Input" 5 or 6 times while different pairs of lights flash until the two lights under the lights you were on flash. The manual shows which light pairs go with which input, and you almost need to tape the manual page to the soundbar. Bottom line: Decent sound, but I returned it.
