The Visio picture is really crisp and clear. But, I find that the sound quality is muffled and not good. I'm sorry that I purchased this product. I have better luck with my LG

I like the unit overall, but i would be happier if the sound quality was better. find myself with the volume above 85 way too many times, just to hear the programming.

I'v had to call customer service twice already. Hoping this televiion last long.

No bells and whistles but does what is should at a good price

I had trouble setting up this tv and was not sure of the settings.

I was looking for a LCD TV that was not "smart" because I don't do a lot of streaming with Netflix or Roku and a 4K unit is out of my price range right now. I did a lot of looking around (both online and in-store) for a TV that would give a solid picture and be able to handle streaming if I want to add it later. Most TVs in the price range I want to spend are 40 inch. However, I saw this VIZIO at BB for the same price. The reviews were mostly positive here and on other sites so when it came up on sale for $20 less that the original price, I went for it. First - this is a 43 inch TV so, if you already have a stand, MEASURE IT to make sure the unit will fit. Setup was pretty easy. The picture is pretty good and the sound is decent. However, it only has 2 HDMI inputs. That may limit your connection options. If you like to hear the full sound effects of movies or games; buy a sound bar or connect it to your AV receiver (lots of different connections types here but, use the optical connection if possible for best results). The standard speakers have NO BASS. I have a sound bar because I like to hear those explosions as well. Another complaint was that there is no ON/OFF switch on the unit. It's on the rear next to the side input ports near the bottom. It's small so, you might miss it. The remote is basic to cover the functions on the TV. Don't expect to control anything else with it. Also, there is no manual in the box. Just a quick setup guide. You have to download the manual from the VIZIO web site. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it for someone looking for a non-smart TV.

Worked great for two years. Now no picture.... glad it was on sale..disposable 40” TV.... sign of the times!

The sound is horrible. It's muffled, there's feed back. It's as if the speakers were blown when it was in the box. Very unsatisfied

Got this tv for a small basement TV. Been perfect for what it was purchased for

It has a great picture,great sound (for a lcd) and loaded with features.If you don't need or want smart features this should be concidered .I actually took back a 40" because I couldn't make it look good.And i'm a gadget guy so if I couldn't know one can .This one looked 5 times better out of the box and even more after i adjusted it to my liking.It works great with my LG blu ray and Sony Receiver.Love it .I have only had it two weeks so that's why can't give that 5th star .

Bought it to replace a Vizio 32" that was on loosing end of a lighting strike. Easy to setup and works great with my Xfinity box and remote. Sound is fine for most purposes, but a sound bar would be nice. Sits diagonally in the corner of the room and very view able from any angle to it. Not using as a monitor at this point.

This is a no frills TV. Only 2 HDMI ports and no smart features. The panel in the set I received is an IPS, so good viewing angle but poor contrast/black levels. The full array LED backlighting is very apparent when panning bright scenes, like sky or a barren landscape. The full array is not a positive feature. This is just a inexpensive functional TV. It's not horrible but not far from perfect. OK if you just need a second TV but not for a bedroom because the blacks do not get dark. It might be good for a waiting room because of it's wide viewing or if you just watch news and sitcoms where the backlighting isn't a big issue.

Composite cable - does NOT work. AND that's what my cable box uses. Don't buy this junk unless you know you don't want to use cable box. DTV - works BUT Doesn't use whole screen. HDMI - works. Should have bought a smaller cheaper one. This sinks, Now I have to return this piece of junk.
