Quality sound. Subwoofer is everything you could hope for. 5 channel sound is amazing and the mode adjustment based on listening genre is great. Rear speakers can cut out a bit and don’t have much power though (to be expected with this value). One of the best 5.1 channel sound bars for this price though!

This 5.1-channel wonder transforms my living room into a home theater. The wireless subwoofer adds depth, and Dolby Atmos & DTS:X create an immersive audio experience. Easy setup and minimalist design make it a must-have for anyone craving premium sound quality without the cinema ticket price.

Purchased this with a new 55” LG CX, set up was extremely easy and soundbar was up and running very quickly. Very impressed with the sound for the price that you pay. Have not tried Dolby Atmos yet but the 5.1 sound is great! Great value!

Love this surround sound product! Really didn’t realize we could get sound like this puts out. The only thing we were hoping was that it would be completely wireless. It is wireless between the sound bar and the subwoofer, but it is wired from the sub to the surround speakers. We put it all behind our couch so it works for us.

You'd think a soundbar system made by Vizio and paired with a Vizio system would "just work", but power-up time is pretty abysmal and can take a minute after the TV boots before audio works. And it can occasionally glitch on pairing. Still, it sounds great and the price is excellent. Worth it for a budget system.

Good (for the price) when it connects

For the price, the sound is great, although the surround sound EQ setting seems to have the surround speakers a bit too loud and will reset your settings each time you turn off the bar. I do have an issue connecting, or sometimes keeping a connection with the DIRECTLY connected HDMI input. I have connected directly from Nvidia shield as well as through AV receiver, CEC on and off with temperamental results. It is irritating but after tweaking by restarting everything and doing an"input search" that takes a few minutes I can usually get it to connect again... But sometimes it takes several rounds of resetting everything. I don't understand Vizio shutting off HDMI input if it doesn't like something¿? That It detects/or doesn't detect. I know it's getting signal since the tv that connects to the sound bar has sound even when the bar doesn't"detect" the HDMI in that the tv is using after passing through the bar.

    Plays Friendly w/Sony X900H

For fellow Sony X900H users, this is a nice system that works well via eARCH (make sure Sony Bravia Sync Setting enabled) and then the primary remote powers and controls the system along the TV. You may need to tweak the level settings to your liking. I didn’t care for the presets (movie, music, game). Keep in mind not all content streams in Dolby/Dolby Atmos and compressed videos on YouTube don’t make good audio tests in my humble opinion. I acquired this system to replace a Bose Solo Sound Bar which is perfectly great with the Sony X900H. I wanted a system that had a little more punch on a budget and this system delivers. The 5” subwoofer to my surprise performs well and is perfectly adequate for big spaces. The rear speakers let you hear little details you might otherwise miss. Moreover the compact size of the entire system allows you to blend the equipment; the subwoofer is next to the couch and the satellite speakers are on stands. There’s a 12 foot separation between the Sound Bar and Subwoofer and not a single drop in wireless connection (hoping this doesn’t become an issue as others have experienced this). For Dolby Atmos, I didn’t personally get the impression sound was coming from above. Not disappointed since up firing speakers are absent and this most accurately is a traditional 5.1 system in a compact design. That being said, for its price, quality, and sound, I’m very happy with the purchase.

Absolutely perfect for my needs. I have a Vizio P55-F1 set that I bought in 2018, the speakers have always been lackluster - so I finally looked into getting a soundbar to pair with it. I went through two other soundbars before landing on the Vizio M51AX-J6. My two previous soundbars: TCL Alto 9+: The soundbar was way too overpowered with no way of reducing the bass level any further, Dolby Atmos barely sounded different than bitstream stereo. Soundcore Infini Pro: No subwoofer, not enough bass, no Dolby Vision passthrough (for gaming, movies and streaming content worked fine). Experienced a high pitch beep when turning the soundbar on (every time). So I finally landed on the M51AX-J6, and I'm so glad that I did. Everything can be fine tuned to your liking (individual speaker EQ and levels, satellite speaker position, preset modes). I was able to set everything in less than one hour, and this thing sounds absolutely amazing. I have the satellite speakers just below my soundbar, so I don't have that much of an Atmos effect - but I'm sure it will sound better when I get some speaker stands and place the speakers behind me.

Extremely easy set up out of the box. Long cables on the satellite speakers give you plenty of flexibility on placement. It might not have some of the premium features like automatic room correction or built-in Chromecast, but if that doesn't matter to you, this is what you want for affordable Dolby Atmos.

It sounds great in my condo. The neighbors already complained about it. It hard for me to figure out how to control it with my tv though. Its real loud when I have the PS4 playing but not as loud with just the tv playing.

Love this sound bar, especially for the price! It's very easy to find tune and has all the needed settings. Sound is smooth and crisp. It balances voices and loud action scenes very well when on virtual x mode. Subwoofer and back speakers connect well and sound great. Overall, highly recommend!

Just what I wanted! Bass very deep even at 50% setting. Mid-range Good for dialog. rear speakers add lot of depth. Having extra HDMI port makes using firestick or roku easy. Bluetooth works great. Remote lets you adjust everything easily from your seat. I would buy again, although I I would get the 7.2 system.

Very good coming from never having had a surround system. It has some weird connection issues/drop-outs, which can be annoying. The latency is also pretty high, about a tenth of a second delay between audio and video when using PC as an input. This isn't an issue on built-in TV apps. Sound is really good.

IT’s excellence for being a quite bit over the average I have pretty good judgement being familiar with tech. (THE REMOTE IS THE COOL PART ABOUT IT IF YOU LIKE TO GET TECHNICAL AND ADJUST THINGS) It only lacks that premium enhancement feature though like a crazy sensor or chip that enhances certain things

I've had this for about a month. Great addition to my small living room. I had to connect an HDMI splitter (3-1) to the HDMI input of the speaker, Then the ARC output of the speaker to the the ARC input of the TV. I had a Sony TV and it did have some synching issues. Either way Vizio M series is the best bang for the buck

I have been using Vizio soundbars for a while now, and this one has definitely exceeded my expectations. The sound is great, and the integration with Dolby Atmos seems to be executed well here. Also, the eARC compatibility is great for my TV, and has worked nearly flawlessly.
