2/15/2016 I purchased this unit for my 60 inch SHARP HDTV, so I could hear the sound as clear as possible . I wanted a surround sound system that would be easy to install and operate. This sound system does what I need, and it is quite hassle free. The price was just right for me. Best buy crew were quite helpful in assisting me to choose my unit. I love this surround sound! After purchasing a Phillips 2.1 system, and not being satisfied with the quality of decided to go to this one with was a good move. The sound is awesome, and it makes watching movies feel as if your in a theater. Listening to music is a pleasure as well, it has great bass and nice and loud. Don't put the woofer on the floor as the bass sound too loud, I have mine on a bookcase and the sound is perfectly balanced.

I listened to each and every sound bar in Best Buy, from the least expensive to the highest priced ------- this by far IS the best value by a country mile!!! I purchased mine in store during Black Friday Week for $179, a tremendous savings -------- I paired it up with my new Vizio 65" 4K UHD TV and it is a PERFECT marriage! The wireless subwoofer rocks, and the wiring of the surround speakers from the subwoofer allowed for burying the wires under my couch! The sound quality is amazing for a 38 inch sound bar, and the remote is easy to use with lots of adjustments ------- I love the fact that I can adjust the volume from the TV remote and that it shuts off with the TV --------- Also, the bar is the perfect height and length so that it sits just below the bezel and also does not cover the TV remote sensor ----- if you really listen and compare this one to the others, you will probably write the same review I just did! Well done Vizio!

Easy setup, awesome sound. The wireless subwoofer is convenient and works well. Be advised that the rear satellite speakers are not wireless, but connect to the wireless subwoofer so you won't have wires between the soundbar and rear setup to worry about. All of my rear wires are hidden behind my couch. I used an optical cable to connect the soundbar to TV and it works great. I've also used the Bluetooth option to listen to music from my phone...also sounds great.

Overall I love the sound bar. Great quality sound. The only downfall I would note is that the power for the rear speakers pulls off the power from the subwoofer. Therefore you need to have the subwoofer in the rear of the room, near a power source, and then the cables for the rear satellite speakers connect to that subwoofer. The audio itself is bluetooth to the subwoofer. Pretty simple setup that worked perfect in my home and for the price I would absolutely recommend it.

I love this sound bar! The sound is amazing and setting it all up was a breeze. Vizio included all the necessary cables (optical, HDMI, composite). The only thing that could make this sound bar better would be if the remote had a backlight. But that is by no means a deal-breaker. If you're looking at 5.1 surround sound at a great price, then this is exactly what you need!

I price matched this to Amazon for $248 so it was a steal. Excellent 5.1 surround sound, I can hear every little detail with the satellite speakers behind me in the living room. Great bass and soundbar. Works great with my 60" Vizio.

This is my first purchase of a sound bar to accompany my 55" Samsung. I've been weary of purchasing one simply because I thought they would not meet my expectations for a sound system and without rear speakers how can one experience true surround sound? The Vizio SB3851-C0M meets my expectations, but with a few quirks. It provides a clear and full surround sound experience that trumps the inadequate speakers on my 55". The rear speakers and sub function nicely and never lose connection. The sound bar comes with a remote that is very easy to use. Connecting my iPhone via bluetooth is also a nice feature. I have noticed that there is sometimes too much bass, which I can't really reduce, but it's nothing unbearable. I'm a huge user of the streaming app PLEX and have ran into a consistent problem. There is a constant audio delay and minor volume fluctuations while playing a movie in the app. Basically the movie plays faster than the audio through the sound bar. I have never encountered this issue prior to using the sound bar. The volume fluctuations are minor, but extremely noticeable and annoying. I've tried multiple changes to settings to no avail. I would have given five stars had I not experience this issue. Notwithstanding, this is a great buy for someone who is seeking a true surround sound experience and to improve the audio on their flatscreen.

I found this item on sale and was impressed with the sound quality and 5.1 surround. We put this in a master bedroom and it is more than adequate. For a larger room, I might be inclined to spend a little more, but for the money this is quite impressive in a pretty good size master bedroom. It installs very easily and the bluetooth connection to the sub and rear speakers works well. Loved not having to wire much. Made installation a breeze, Overall connectivity to tv and with bluetooth, might be a little quirky, but I have always been able to get it to pair within a couple of tries. Certainly has not been frustrating. Never spent more than one minute getting sound to work from any device once connected properly. the sound quality for music is great too. I wanted something we could play somewhat loud, and this does the trick very well.

For being inexpensive, this system has great sound especially at low to mid volumes - strong and quite clear. It's VERY bass-heavy though even when adjusting the settings down but honestly, I like to feel that heavy thump when watching action movies and listening to my "ghetto" music. I returned a Bose system costing 3X the price for lack of midrange and an unimpressive sound (I'm not sure what they do in the store to make Bose sound so good but at home, 3 different systems seemed weak and hollow even after professional calibration). I stumbled across this Vizio being displayed in the store and figured I'd give it a try and have been quite impressed - especially at this price point. My only complaint would be related to the volume settings. It seems that my preferred listening range lies between two levels. It seriously bugs me that a "3" is too low and I can't hear dialogue and a "4" wakes the kids and wife on the other side of the house. Can I get a "3.5", please?

I had a Sony surround Sound system with wires all over the house. My wife live with it for years and said something had to be done about the wires. I bought this sound bar, put the woofer behind the couch and run the satellite speakers, one on each end of the couch. They are hooked into the woofer with wires but they are hidden behind the couch. The woofer does need a power outlet. I put the sound bar in front of the tv. The sound is great. It bluetooth to the woofer. I now have terrific sounds and eliminated all the wires. My wife is happy and so am I.

Bought this sound system to go with the new Visio 4-K tv. Couldn't live without it. It was an awesome deal and the sound on this little guy is truly amazing. It is wireless so once in a while you need to turn it off and back on if you pause the tv for too long but no big deal. Overall, a great package purchase to along with all the new 4-K must haves! Need to get another remote for this or wish you could program it to the main remotes but will work on that. Thanks to Tristan, my Best Buy professional for all the advise on the package.

I love this system. I am able to keep the sound down to 4 consistent because of the much improved speech quality. I also had a chance recently to watch and listen to Peter Frampton in concert (at a volume of 20). The music was very good quality thru this system. This system is made for all the qualities that I needed and wanted. Very easy to set up and synk.

For under the $200 price point this 5.1 sound bar seriously impressed me. Not only do the wireless rear speakers and bass do their job nicely, the front 3 speakers are bright and clear. Vizio did a great job putting this together and paired with my 43" TV I couldn't be happier. The best option: bluetooth so I can play my IPod in glorious 5.1. Excellent choice for a bedroom or small living room.

Started off with a Sony sound plate that decided to go out on us, returned under warranty and bought this unit.. impressed with the 7.1 sound, sounds even better than the ole surround unit I had before. Room filling bass and clear crisp sound. Goes well with our 55tv. Multiple connection options can connect this to almost anything and the display although dim on the remote makes menu settings a breeze

Best sound out there when it comes to sound bars for the small price. I have been looking around for a sound bar that change me mentally from the clasic home theater system ( 1000w^ 5.1) so I give it a try to this bar because in reality is 5.1 and it performs with stoning sound and quality. Love it.

This soundbar sounds great. It is easy to install with many different connection method. I used the opical cable because I don't think my TV support ARC with HDMI. The Bluetooth features is very nice and the remote make it easy to use without ever needing to leave your seat.

Compared and listened to many at store.This one had good sound and was loudest for price.Easy hookup and setup.CON:When switching channels it sometimes stops the sound and you have to restart it,have not figured this out yet.Overall we like it.

Was told by a best by rep that i would not get the quality out of this product that i should get a 600$ klip or a 400$ jbl witch where good but i think from experience of using this product and doing my own research and reading reviews on this product i made the absolute right choice for my pocket book and my living room
