    The TV makes for a beautiful picture, but to customize it, you have to download their Appp and that apps SUCKS - this TV would be out of this world if it weren't for the mandatory App interface to customize the TV

    Thisbhas a nice picture and I guess smartcast is the way of the future. But I kind of like smart tv loaded apps. Just easier to deal with. Yes you can stream your own stuff and that makes sense if you've cut the cord I suppose.

    This is a great entry level 4K tv! I absolutely love Vizio's brand. The screens look great and work very well! These don't have some of the really advanced tuning capabilities, but for the purpose we needed these for, it didn't matter. Overall, great buy!

    I was in search for a new TV for an office I was building in my home. I wanted to get a 4K as I wanted to future proof some. This TV is what I needed and the price was just right.

    Poor viewing angle

    The TV in my son's room recently blew. I took this opportunity to give him our living room TV and replace it with a new model. The model that I was replacing was an LG that I bought as a black Friday special a few years ago. It was serviceable but definitely bare-bones. For one, the LG was only an edge-lit LED while this Vizio is fully back-lit. While I knew that this Vizio was not a top-of-the-line model. I expected it to perform better than the LG that it was replacing. Going by the specs, there was no reason for me to expect otherwise. Besides the better backlighting, the Vizio is also 4K and has many other features that the LG does not. My disappointment in this model is the horrible viewing angle. When viewed from the front, it is fine. However, as you move just a few feet to either side the picture quickly, and very noticeably, deteriorates. The further you move away from the center, the worse it gets. I knew that viewing angle is a potential issue with LCD panels in general. But, I never knew that with today's technology there were still TV's where the problem is this pronounced. To be clear, there are things about this TV that I like. The Smart cast feature is handy. The full array backlighting definitely is an impreovement over the LG. As a result, blacks are much deeper. Programming my Harmony remote for this TV was better than my LG (the LG did not have discrete commands to change inputs while this does). All in all, it is not a bad TV. It is just that the poor viewing angle takes what should be a very good TV and makes it merely average.

    I read some poor reviews prior to buying this but decided to buy it myself since I considered myself a little tech savvy. The picture quality is above average, sound is okay but I used a soundbar so it didn't matter. The problem is having to use the smartcast app. It is not very user friendly. It's a 4k TV but some of streaming quality is 720 at best. Also, it keeps switching itself in between inputs which is very annoying when watching a game or movie. I was not able to turn off the TV through the app for the 1 week I owned it. This is the first none Sony TV I've owned and you can guess which tv I bought after returning this. If you plan to use the TV minus the "smart" features, it will work fine. Otherwise, please try something else.

    Come on people, if your expecting a top of the line HDTV, pay for it. For the price, this TV is good. I changed some of the settings to maximize the picture to my taste. I'm happy with it so far. Is it my main HDTV? No but it serves well in my bedroom. Thanks Best Buy and Vizio!

    I would not recommend buying this TV unless you get the extended warranty. There have been several reviews online that state that these TV's stop working after about a year and just outside of the warranty range. Overall, it's an okay TV, but if you are going to buy tread carefully and MAKE SURE to get the extended warranty because you will need it!

    I bought this because it seemed like a great TV and for a great price but no!! The volume keeps changing by itself, the background music is louder than the characters speaking, and the brightness isn't good and complicated to adjust. I barley used it for a day and returned it for an LG and it's way better!
