And I was not impressed with either for it's price. Mediocre would be my overall description of this tv. And the smart tv functioning is confusing and basically pointless.

Posted .Thank you for the feedback. To get the highest quality picture we recommend making sure your device (cable box, satellite box, gaming system, etc...) support HD quality. Connecting that device to the E50-E3 with an HDMI cable will ensure that you're always viewing the highest quality picture being broadcast. The SmartCast platform on this display lets you send content (like apps, browser tabs, and screen sharing on some devices) from mobile devices to your display. If you're having any trouble using the built-in Chromecast features we have several tutorial videos on support.VIZIO.com.

It was easy to set up and user friendly. However, once I started casting netflix, hbo, hulu, etc from my phone, I noticed the picture quality was lacking. Even though it has 120 Hz refresh rate I noticed ample motion blur/lag. That's because the chromecast it has built in DOES NOT STREAM 4K, only up to 1080. That seems a waste of having a 4K tv. So i plugged in my XBOX ONE S. Played some games on there in GAME MODE and it worked ok, nothing different than my 1080 tv. Then I streamed a 4K movie on my XBOX and it was only slightly better. Color was lacking, motion was not smooth, and just did not look like a 4K tv should.

Posted .Thank you for the feedback. The SmartCast Display is capable of receiving 4K content through cast. Netflix (as an example) will cast to the Display in 4K. A few tips, 4K content can be extremely bandwidth heavy (Netflix advises having a speed of 25 Megabits per second or higher). Many apps also require an upgraded membership to have access to 4K content. Lastly, not all content within an application will be available in 4K. Many apps have a specific section where you can browse available 4K content.
