    Great TV

Being an avid gamer, this TV is great for that. I run fast paced games in the "game" mode that is built into the TV with my PC set at 1080p 120Hz and its great. For 4K gaming, the limit is 60Hz, but that is still good for anything that isn't fast paced. The only real downfall is the lack of a built in TV tuner, which isn't an issue for me, as I use a Roku for all my streaming needs anyway. The initial setup process is a bit annoying, as you have to use the tablet or a smart phone with the app installed to actually set up the TV. The included "basic" remote is pretty much useless for anything other than turning the TV on and off. I use the optical connection to a sound bar for audio, and it outputs good sound with no lag time relative to the picture. Overall, a great big screen monitor for a PC and a good TV for my streaming device.

Feature rich for the tech savvy

The viewing angle on this IPS panel tv is very wide. I previously had the P50 VA panel version and it had a very narrow viewing angle. This P55 is great for the living room setting. Colors are very rich and accurate. Do yourself a favor and go over to the AVS forum thread on calibration for this TV. Set up the settings from displaycalnoob and see if they work for you. The photo I attached shows upscaled 480p DVD material. The upscaling was done by the tv. My AVR passed through the signal.

Perfect Gaming TV But Tablet Sucks

I bought this TV open box for $1000 and saw it two months later at best buy for $800 brand new, which isn't a bad thing, but now that Black Friday is coming the TV is back up to its original price of $1300. I'm assuming they do this to make it seem like a discount when they eventually lower it back to the price of $800.

Not bad with blu ray or 4k

After much and I do mean much research I decided to pick up this vizio pseries to replace a samsung js9000 curved display that I was having issues with. Let me tell you on paper this tv is absolutely unstoppable with features like full array local dimming (126 zone) wider color gamut, 120hz native refresh rate albiet only via hdmi 5 port, vizio cast which is a bit gimmicky but seemed to work ok (once you go through about an hour of very frustrating pairing only to have the tv not acknowledge the remote more than once) Hdr compatibility is a nice plus and the set is decently bright i believe upwards of 600 nits peak brightness. Again very very respectable tv on paper and at 1299.00 its a no brainer right ? Well thats what the reviews said but thats not the real experience. When playing a blu ray or 4k content The tv looks good and by good i mean it looks better than a mid range 4k but by no means does it top the premium lineup of samsung, lg or sony like the tv advertises it should and again the reviews said it does or should. I had the js9000 samsung 1 day before this vizio and let me tell everyone looking at this tv the samsung DOMINATES when it comes to viewing experience. With just about every kind of content the samsung seems to shine and look absolutely stunning and with the vizio anything below blu ray grade 1080p content is horrible i mean i would be embarrassed to show off this tv's upscaling capabilites if i worked for vizio. This is 2016 not 2025..90% of content will not be of blue ray quality and when you spend 1300 on a budget brand tv it better upscale darn well and it just does not its pretty terrible. If you watch only streaming 4k and blu ray quality content go for it. If not get one of the samsung suhd tv's...yes they are more but the viewing experience is much better in my opinion and for me it wasnt even a question which looked better. Was so excited about the p series and I just feel let down. Going back to samsung or maybe lg oled.

    Great Value and Viewing Angle

Great overall value for a 4K TV. The viewing angle on the 55in is awesome. The tablet is kinda pointless and a gimmick since you can cast from your phone.

Good Picture but SC/Remote - Steep learning curve

Purchased directly from Vizio about 30 days ago. Good image. Poor sound, but no matter, since connected to AVR. Smartcast is not fully baked. Took several attempts to link it to the TV. Not intuitive. Perhaps they can make improvements down the line. Very limited 4K/HDR content but should be more by end of the summer. No HDR10 support (yet?). No Amazon Prime support (yet?). Sometimes have to reboot the set because the picture compresses by about half on the screen. Reboot clears it up. Took another star off because Vizio will not price match Best Buy sale.
