The picture and sound are good on the TV, but the remote is confusing and not very intuitive. If you cast netflix from the remote, it will often just stop working and the TV will go dark. This does not happen when I cast from my Mac, so it must be the remote.

I bought this tv for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. He is more into electronics than I am, so I don't do much more than turn on / off and change the channels. But I will say the picture quality is amazing. I'm happy with the purchase.

Really like this TV. Looks great, works well, unless you want to use the built in Google Cast (aka chromecast) feature. The TV (really a monitor since there is no TV tuner), comes with a 6" Android tablet for your casting needs. Unfortunately, the tablet is very slow and must be rebooted more than it should. I ended up abandoning the tablet and used my phone instead (Galaxy S6). It was a much better / faster experience after that. I ultimately bought an Roku 4 streaming box. For me, 1000% better experience. Overall happy with the purchase. Too bad the casting feature is subpar, I have been a chromecast fan for years, but now I am a Roku convert.
The HD up-res looks fantastic, but the 4K only really shines when it is HDR UHD video. It looks amazing! But, there isn't much content out there, and won't be for a while. Still, it was an easy decision to be future-proofed for the price. Plus, lots of inputs on back is great since I have the Roku, Xbox, and Wii U taking up 3 of the 5 HDMI slots.
Recommend overall.

The picture quality is fantastic when it works. Smartcast features are basically worthless, with constant disconnects and frozen picture. The TV will occasionally freeze from other sources (directly connected ps4), so I might be discovering how good the Vizio warranty is.

It's a Vizio, so you're not getting a high level TV; but this is a solid TV. The picture took some fine tuning to get to my liking, but now it looks good. Set-up was easy, the smart tv features are useful. I'm happy with the purchase, and I'd buy it again.

I owned a P55-C1 for about 20days. My unit had problems, but I hope those are rare. My bigger concern was with the picture quality. Color adjustment/correction is possible but very difficult. Without adjustment picture quality & brightness were not good enough.
Due to the problems (picture and audio blanking out for extended periods, becoming worse over time), I replaced my P55 with a Samsung KS8000. I much prefer the picture quality, adjustment, ease of setup, and overall appearance of the KS8000.
For the price, the P-series is quite attractive. But it has little to recommend it over the KS8000.

This is a great television. Great picture. SUHD is a good way to go. Ultra HD videos are the way to go. The only down side is right now there are not a lot of UHD channels being broadcast so you do not always get the full benefit now of what the TV can do. That is why I would suggest the UHD movies.

I did my research and for the price, you can't beat the P-series. If your heart is set on an OLED TV but can't afford the OLED price, seriously consider the P-series. The picture quality is amazing. It's easy to set-up and the tablet control is a cool feature. Great specs for a reasonable price.

So far the tv has been a great purchase. The only reason I gave it a 4 is the tablet did not work properly and the remote is very simple. However, once I downloaded the app it worked great.

This TV has amazing video quality for the price. Read other reviews online, they will say it's on par with higher more expensive brands and the difference is minimal.
After messing with the video setting/calibrations with settings I found online, it was perfect! I watched mad max in full 4k hdr and wow! Of course everyone has there own brand loyalty or minor nitpickings but I don't regret my choice at all. Pair it with high speed internet, Netflix and other 4k hrd providers and it's a solid choice. Plus didn't hurt getting the 55" for 300 less than retail.

The Best Product Available on the Market!
I'll make this clear for those who are considering multiple products and completely indecisive about which offers the best bang for your buck This is an all-around complete product for those who are up to date with technology and presumably will remain up-to-date. This is basically the "ultimate display for entertainment purposes." This product does what it is supposed to do: display content that can and will please any (TV) non-videophile individual; if you're a techy then you will appreciate this product; this is not about the name of the brand or anything like that, this is simply about the product and what it offers regardless of the maker, otherwise most of you will allow yourselves to be influenced by subjective material rather than remain true and objective. Unless you can't afford to spend a few more hundred bucks on a television/display, I am confident you would not mind spending a little more to enhance the overall quality experience. If you like to stream content but you don't like the tablet and don't want to use your own device, then I strongly recommend purchasing a separate streaming device, such as Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, etc. You have options, so make the most of your display and utilize it to the maximum. I also suggest purchasing a decent, if not quality, home theater speaker system, like the Logitech Z906. I personally have used several speakers systems, both 2.1 and 5.1, and my overall favorite would be the Z906 for its performance and quality. I also recently purchased an Xbox One to attach to my new Vizio P55-C1. I have just about everything I need to have a good time for months, literally. Anyway, now I will discuss the more important elements of this product.
Currently at $1,099.99, You Will Not find a better picture for the price than on this product line and model (P-Series) even at $1,299.99, unless you spend half as much more for something that may attempt to wow the audience. This is not about the Brand name, this is about quality and price. If you are like most average consumers and look up reviews or watch youtube videos of unboxing/setups, or make purchases based off of opinions and little to no information, then I strongly suggest you prepare yourself for some research because the only way you will be confident in any purchase is if you are knowledgeable about what you are looking for and what you would like. I understand most people do not like or understand why Vizio's displays do not have apps included on the User Interface, but the purpose of that is for faster performance and better overall experience. Previous models, not limited to Vizio products, but also LG, Samsung, etc, have experienced frustrating lag time or difficulty in establishing connection to apps or the internet and sacrifice performance/speed for a feature that lacks in quality; using a third party streaming device significantly improves the experience without the cost of performance whatsoever. You can all look up more information about how apps and internet access works through the television/display itself, not using a separate device like an Xbox or Playstation, just the tv itself. You will find that most tvs that attempt to access the internet do not do a very well job of it, and so Vizio's approach provides a better overall experience for the user in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. Also, this product offers Full Array Local Dimming, with 126 zones; objectively, this prevails over any Edge-Lit or Direct-Light LED display, and it provides such exceptional colors/lighting/vibrancy/etc that it competes with OLED displays. Some brands use more features, like Quantum Dot Display, like Samsung and LG, to further enhance the picture quality; Vizio's models do not have that feature, and regardless, still offer a formidable challenge for other brands to approach. Basically, even though Vizio lacks a feature that other displays offer, it's picture is still noteworthy and comparable to others, because if Vizio also utilized Quantum Dot Display, then the picture quality would be much greater than its competitors and highly likely OLED as well. I would like to point out that yes, this display offers an IPS panel, however it is not as awful as most consumers believe, and it offers true 120hz refresh rate; this is also a true 10-bit panel, which means more colors, better depth perception-picture quality. The difference is not as significant as most reviewers make it out to be, in fact, the static contrast ratio is about 1500:1 (according to 4k's review) and LG displays have been demonstrating contrast ratios of about 1,100:1 on their IPS panels, so if anything, this should make sense to you that the picture quality-static contrast ratio on this model is better than on most of the LG displays you have seen. Unless you specifically want a VA panel, then you are looking to find a contrast ration within the typical range of 3,000-5,000. I would also like to note that Vizio's P-Series VA panels offer an impressively average contrast ratio of about 5,600:1. So if you compare the IPS and VA panels you are likely to see a difference up close, and maybe from a close distance, but not as distinguishable when sitting at about 5 feet or so away from the display at home regardless of light settings. The difference just isn't big enough to make an impact on your vision perception or worth paying a few hundred dollars more difference when you can utilize that for something more constructive, like family needs, or more personal items. Treat yourself, save some money and use the extra bank to purchase other products that will better enhance your home theater experience.
If you would like to learn more about why this product is the way it is, I suggest reading some reviews, such from Cnet, Rtings, 4k, digitaltrends, consumerreports, androidpolice, etc. You can also look up Avs forum for more information. The information is out there, you just have to spend the time finding it; don't limit yourself or your knowledge to mere opinions and reviews; you should remain objective, don't concentrate on the subjective, and truly consider quality, features, performance, technical specifications, etc. This product is the best, if not one of the best products available on the market today. If you're looking to purchase an addition for your home theater, then I strongly recommend trying this product out for a couple weeks. And I mean fully utilize the dual High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility *it supports both formats HDR 9/10(update soon) & Dolby Vision*, Ultra Color Spectrum-Wide Color Gamut, gaming capabilities with extremely low latency, overall features available and ready for exploration.
I strongly recommend taking a further look at the wonderful technical specifications this display offers.

I would also like to note that I will do my best to answer and reply to the best of my abilities within 72 hours if anyone posts a response to my post. So if you have any questions, concerns, or comments, I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am aware I did not cover everything about this product, I just gave an overall essential breakdown of what most people would like to know. So any further inquiries and I can go more into details of my experience with this display and its functionality, such as gaming, movies/sports, photos, etc. I do not know all the information there is to this product, but I will do my best to find the answer or direct you to a source that can provide that answer should I not be able to answer you myself. I hope this review has provided a generally in-depth account of what to contemplate for your purchasing potential and possibilities. Remember, it's not about the name of the brand, it's what the product has to offer, and this is by far, currently, the best product available on the market, if not one of the best!

So the LED array is great, the color is extremely accurate, 4K + HDR is everything I hoped it would be. Unless you're a technically savvy person I would not recommend this TV based on the interface which is on the included tablet. It doesn't always work too well and the initial setup was a real pain and definitely needs some fine tunning on Vizio's end. The included tablet is mediocre at best and you shouldn't expect to be getting a good tablet out of this set. Also only 2 of the HDMI ports can operate in 4K and only 1 of them can do HDR. I've also experienced several issues where the TV seems to need a reboot because the built-in chromecast seems to crash and I've also experienced instances where the set refuses to switch inputs from the chromecast app to an HDMI port. When the set is working though it is great but I feel it is too much hassle to deal with the tablet and unstable software glitches. I do not recommend unless you can get it for a great deal. I wish I could return the set.

Dark blacks but blurry screen?

It's a good tv. I love the deep blacks. Works great with my Xbox. Streaming items seems a bit weak for my basement room. My phone can stream easily but once you try to cast it, death occurs. The screen also seems a bit blurry? Sometimes I feel my 1080p vizio upstairs is more vibrant and clear. If I had to do it again, I would have gone with Samsung unless it was discounted. Or I'd get the lower vizio model for a cheaper price.
