The unit also comes with a traditional control if you do not want to use the Visio App. The colors and sound are pretty crisp. While my cable provider does not yet broadcast in 4K, they informed me that the 4K TV units get better pictures than normal HD. I believe it. Sports are very good on this TV which is the primary use of this unit. Set up is easy on a tabletop or wall bracket. The price to value of this 55" unit is impossible to beat based on my comparisons.

The issue we had with it is that the only way to stream content is to use you phone or tablet and Google's Chromecast to send the stream to the set. Very disappointing. If I want to watch something on my tablet, I'm going to watch it on my tablet. Plus the last thing I needed is another app to keep track of and learn how to use. We returned this set and bought a different one that has appropriate streaming apps built in. Except for the Chromecast foolishness, this set is nice and a good price, so if streaming is not a big issue for you, you might like this set.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. When you stream an app to our SmartCast Display's you are using the tablet, smart phone, or computer as a control device. It tells the display to go play this content and the smart phone, tablet, or computer becomes a remote for the application.

The supplied remote is a bit on the basic side but is all you need to get started. It uses apps and a built I WiFi to control the settings and for casting. I wouldn't recommend this or a non tech savvy person. I give it a 5 star because for what I use it for it is great. There is nothing I don't like about it. Currently I have it set up with a spare tablet I had laying aroud the house and just leave that as my streating remote.

They expect you to use your phone or tablet for the most part. I just want a remote to control it and also be able to watch Netflix without having an app. Not everyone wants their phone stuck to their person 24/7!

The picture is great and if you look on the internet there is a step by step outline on how to go into the advance settings to change the picture to what you like. Unable to do 4.5 so I rated it as 4 Tony P
