This is by far the best cordless telephone I have ever owned. Shortly after purchasing it I decided to see test the range of the handset. My initial goal was to see if it could clearly make calls from a distance of 100 feet from the base, outdoors with the base indoors. It was able to make a legible telephone call from 405 feet !!! There was some static at that distance but was perfectly clear at over 325 foot. The phone charges and holds a charge well, the screen and overall design is pleasant and the price is more than reasonable for such a high quality telephone. For those confused, verify if the model you are purchasing either does or does not have a digital answering machine. There is a nearly identical model that has the answering machine built in but mine does not.

Well, it was just what I wanted. A modern look phone, wireless, good with range (which I can talk on it around my 1 bedroom apartment, keeps a good quality with 2 walls in middle). So far, I did not have any problem while using it, I am not sure of the battery life, but I think it isnt short since my longest calls only 30 minutes and I always keep it on its charger. For me, the most important thing when buying a phone, is to make sure you don't go look for another one a month later.

I needed a wall phone for the kitchen. This phone fit the bill exactly! I have voice mail, so did not need an answering machine. I have several other cordless phones strewn throughout the house, so did not need a multi-handset system. Low cost, great sound quality and range. Perfect!

The sales person recommened it and the price was right. It was easy to set up and I really enjoy the speaker phone. The one thing that would make it better would be an answering machine with it... Since I have service through my phone company for voicemail it's not a problem for me so I don't mind... I would recommend this phone to any one that just needs a good, quality phone at a great price...

One of the best phones I have ever bought! It has everything I need and more! Unlike my last phone which got interfered by this is interference free, another pro I should have added! Anyway a great phone, that comes with a great deal!

Contrary to the description currently on the BB website, the Vtech DS6111 does NOT include an answering system (though it will signal the arrival of a new message if you have voice mail service through your local telephone company).

i live in a six floor apt complex,i use this phone in my car across the street of my apt when looking for parking due to alternate side cleaning.looks good too.price is amazing

this phone works very well i was shock it was a good choice to get it so if you are thinking about geting it get it

Sound levels are poor and it interfered with my wireless keyboard & mouse not allowing them to work properly.
