I have owned several cordless telephone systems. My previous multi handset system is a 5.8 GHz Uniden System. I replaced it because in this two story house the base station must be placed on the second floor in the center of the house for full coverage. The DS6222 can be installed anywhere and still provides full coverage. I was able to place it in our home office on the first floor at one end of the house and still get full coverage. Sound quality is excellent, particularly intelligibility, the volume control can compensate for calls with low volume level. Lack of a headset jack is a disadvantage. I would occasionally use a headset with my old system. I selected this system because it was described as having a large size character, display. That is true for outgoing calls but the incoming caller ID display fields uses smaller characters than the outgoing number field. Functions differently than the old system which I find as an advantage. When a user reads the caller ID history the missed call indicator is reset on all handsets. The system uses a shared directory which allows any handset to access the common directory. My old system had a separate directory in each handset which required several steps to transfer entries to multiple handsets. Three features are missing that Uniden offers, are: Changing Banner to name the handset like Master Bedroom, flashing message waiting light and the lack of an all page feature. I did not purchase a Uniden system because the Uniden DECT 6.0 systems will support a maximum of Six Handsets.

Pros : Nice Looking phone, Not too bulky easy handling, and we were blown away how the three handsets work in Tandem as this is the first time we are using a multihandset phone. Cons: Does not have talking caller id but I wont consider this a big disadvantage and I really dont use the headset feature in our current cordless phone so absence of a headset is really not noticed by us. The only bug is when conferencing the 2 outside lines, if initiate the confefrence on speaker phone, you can then go to talk mode and the conference is still active but if you initiate a conference in talk mode and go to speaker phone you will drop one line and we will have to redo the conference. Not a biggy. Also the price is a bit high for this model. I guess its because of DECT 6.0 and multiple handsets. Overall: Good Phone due to the cons above a 4.0 rating. I wish I can give it 4.1 or 4.3

I like this vtech phone. I mainly bought it because the price was good (on sale) & the good size blue screen so I can easily see the incoming number. I thought the blue screen was a deeper blue but I'm still happy with it. This phone has a lot of good features first being a DECT 6.0 phone, it's clear sounding, handset speakerphone, backlit keypad and 3 handsets and more. Only wish would be for it to have talking caller ID on this, but that's not a deal breaker but I would pay more if it had that feature. Buy this one, you'll like it too.

This phone was exactly what I was looking forward to buying. It has a sleek design that is very modern, the range is excellent as is the quality of the sound.

I really enjoy this phone system so far. The only negative thing I have found is that I wish you could look right at it and see if you missed a call like my old one did. Otherwise it is great! The sound is really good and I like all of the choices for a ringtone.

Nice phone with great easy to use setup features and I don't have to get the manual everytime the power goes out to set up the answering machine. The price was a little high, but I had a gift card that actually made it worth getting for all 3 phones.

Not a bad system for the price. Nice to have 3 handsets. I could not mount it to the wall because my cabinets are too close to the phone outlet. I have noticed that you can hear yourself if the volume is set too loud.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to simplify their life. It Is easy to program and use. the sound quality is a little off, but not too bad. There are 3 head sets to disperse throughout your rooms or house levels and they come equiped with intercom to keep you in contact with your loved ones. What's not to love?

Compact, easy to use, Handset #1 stopped working after two weeks. Exchanged handset, would not program. New handset continually searched for system, would not lock in. Needed to exchange entire set.
