Actually, the black chrome coffee pot is a good looking appliance and it does make good coffee, BUT so did my Mr. Coffee, coffee pot. I purchased it because it was on-sale and, coincidentally, my Mr. Coffee appliance had just stopped working - what timing ! ! ! It normally sells for $99.99. I wouldn't pay that price - I mean it is a coffee pot, not a status symbol.

Just my opinion on price point.
This comes packaged with what will feel like third world warehouse line work. Not all contents are not factory sealed ( just the water filter ) everything else will have poor quality packaging.
Product:
Power cable 26" from bottom rear of unit.
Height under 14 1/2"
Width and Depth under 9" each direction.
Glass does scratch very effortlesly.
This would make a great Black Friday Coffee Maker for that awesome gift under all of the family members trees.
Buy at 19.99, this is my conclusion or do not get upset for paying more then this amount.

Pretty simple coffee maker overall; hasn't given us any issues. Has a water filter with cartridge built in, which is a nice touch. The carafe is sturdy, but HATE the fact that the lid of it is not hinged, so it must be popped off and on. Seems trivial, but gets annoying quickly. Also the clock on the unit is not backlit, and impossible to see in all but bright light. Not a big deal, but something to note. I hope it lasts a long time, because it is attractive in our kitchen and overall has been working well for us.

hands down this is the best coffee maker I have ever had. high capacity! easiest pouring! excellent brewing! the only thing I would change about this coffee pot is that I wish the time was backlit so I could see what time it was without having to turn the light on and no it is not in my kitchen I have a coffee station set up in the computer room! I picked this up on some kind of super sale a few months back when my old one died for $19.99 but now that I have used it for several months I would gladly pay full price for this thing and if you are a coffee lover it is totally worth the asking price and more. in short I am very happy with this coffee maker and you will too!

I was surprised at how good this coffee maker is. The coffee pot itself does not leak or spill when pouring. I can’t even make it spill. The coffeemaker unit is sealed tight on the inside. If the water overflows the filter when brewing, and carries the coffee grounds with it, the inside coffee grounds section is somehow completely enclosed. The coffee grounds do not go anywhere except where they are (in the filter basket). Amazing. I personally think Merlitta is skimping on the quality of the paper filters. The Merlitta paper filters used to be heavier paper and would keep their shape—now they are flimsy and cheap and get waterlogged and limp immediately. It’s not the coffee maker’s fault. The coffee is good and hot. Not McDonald’s hot, but close enough. After brewing, I keep mine warm for an hour longer. It comes with a water filter in the water tank. I just bought two dozen more from Amazon at a great price.
I am very impressed with the quality of this coffee maker and highly recommend it. I had a more expensive Krups that paled in comparison to this Waring.

Having worked in a few cafes in the past, my wife can be a bit of a coffee "snob." She insisted upon having the temperature control option on any coffeemaker she chose, and it (of course) also had to be time programmable. The carafe is plenty big enough to handle the whole family or small groups, and she's extremely pleased with the quality and consistency. The gold filter is a great addition, provided your grounds aren't so fine that they slip through. This Waring brand is essentially the same as Cuisinart, and if you keep an eye on the daily deals, you might snag one for a steal. Great purchase.

I only bought this coffee pot because my husband wanted to be able to grind beans and have something to brew with them. We only had a kuerig. It was on sale so I took the chance. And am I glad I did! This has got to be THE best coffee pot I have ever owned! It is flawless. I use the timer for morning coffee and it is always ready. I can set the timer to automatically turn off if I forget to. It is relatively quiet. I got the black stainless steel and it is a nice addition to my now "coffee counter" I would highly recommend this one!

I am not a coffee expert and my old Black & Decker maker was showing signs of wear and tear. I saw this on a deal of the day so I jumped on it. At first, I was concerned of the cone filters and water filter required, but I found some on Amazon for cheap and have grown to really like this coffee pot. The 14 cup capacity is helpful and adjustable auto turn off great too. Most turn off after 2 hours, I adjusted mine to 3 hours! If the clock were bigger and easier to read it would have 5 stars. Hard to read clock and first time I set timer, did not notice it was on PM, so had to waste a pot of coffee. I would never pay retail price for this, but for the deal of the day, it was a bargain!

I had replaced a failed expensive coffee with several inexpensive ones that just didn't last very long with various reasons of failure and saw this pot on sale at just the right time. It has the apparent quality of the expensive one and a lot better than the cheap ones. It's easy to program so my coffee is hot and ready when the alarm goes off every morning and very easy to clean and prepare the night before, much easier than the expensive grind and brew variations I've used for many years. It uses cone filters that seem to be less prone to coffee grounds overflowing into the pot. It can brew very small quantities and double heats pots less than 4 cups but can brew upto 14 cups for heavy drinkers! It's the best coffee maker I've purchased in years.

Very attractive coffee maker makes very, very hot coffee quite quickly. It is quite similar in appearance and operation to a Cuisinart we own, only much prettier. Bought it to replace a leaking Bunn brand which I did fix but it started leaking again. I will get it fixed but this one looks much better on the counter than the Bunn so it's a keeper for sure. While the Bunn immediately dispenses hot water from the reservoir, this Waring is almost just as quick and also gives a much hotter cup of coffee. Very pleased.

I purchased this coffee maker because of the strong reviews and was a great Deal of the Day. This is essentially the same as the Cuisinart DCC-3200 with different dressing. Has all the bells & whistles & comes with an oversized coffee pot (14-cup) . It works well for 2 or 14 cups, & especially for holidays. I was so pleased with its performance that I purchased as a gift and they are equally pleased.

Full disclosure, I bought this sight unseen during the deal of the day, which was an insanely good deal. When I got it I was initially disappointed by the clunky clock setup, the lack of a side viewable water level and most of all the #2 conical filters. I hate them, or past tense, hated them. They are irritating to get set properly... and that’s enough of a reason I guess, especially when you’re in a hurry in the morning. Nothing is more disappointing than getting coffee flavored water when one part of the filter gets pushed to the side because you couldn’t get it set right.
But whatever, I decided to keep it. Got some nicer brown filters and did my usual routine, 1 rounded scoop for 2 cups of water. Holy COW did that brew blow my lid off. Without a doubt the blackest coffee ever. So I dialed it back on the next round, and now have perfect coffee every time.
I’m guessing the conical design allows the grounds to steep longer. Aside from all that it’s a perfectly functional coffee maker. Came with a scooper, which made my day. Carafe is huge and well made, though the mechanism for removing the top of it (or lack thereof) is lame. It doesn’t have a hinge, so you have to take the entire lid off which is a little annoying. Also in theme with the top of things, there is no separate opening for the water reservoir, and as I said no side viewable level, so you get to stand over it and stare down the well sorta speak, which looks and feels incredibly stupid while doing it.
It’s a great machine overall, but those little overlooked design issues are fairly annoying. There are probably better ones at the MSRP (I miss my Mr Coffee to this day), but at the sale price it was unbeatable.

The coffee it makes is hot. The maker doesn't look or feel cheap. It uses a cone filter, which produces a stronger brew. You don't need to use a filter, and it does have a hot plate.
What else is there to say? At $100 it feels steep, but on sale it feels like a steal.

The coffee maker brews great coffee; however, at least three design flaws I've found so far: 1) the illuminated light on the dial was very poorly planned; it's difficult to tell if the unit is actually on, 2) when filling the unit, the charcoal filter floats up rather than remaining seated, and 3) the unit produces an excessive amount of moisture while brewing such that when lifting the lid to clean the unit, it floods the counter. I did get the 99.99 maker for 39.99.
