Great Musou on the Switch

For anyone buying this, you are probably already a fan of Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors and the other Warriors Orochi games. If you haven't played any of the other games, you can still play this one but you may not know all of the characters from previous games being thrown at you and why certain meetings might be special. There are cutscenes and conversations that explain what is going on that you can pick up fairly easily.
Graphically, it looks good (of course not as great as the PS4) but with the latest update, the framerate is a lot better than launch. Like previous games, the goals of each mission is to move to each section of the map, take out all of the enemies to build up your special move gauges and take out your enemies with super moves. As you progress to fight each commander, you are also granted magic by the gods to assist you on your journey. Great hack and slash action and switching between characters to chain super movies is satisfying. So many characters to unlock as well.
In handheld mode it played great. The graphics dropped a little bit but if you are looking for Musou on the go, it works nicely
If you love these games where you feel like a god with so many unlockables and the ability to play as other characters at home or on the go, then this is a fun game to pick up.

The Switch is quickly becoming a haven for Musou-style games, and while Warriors Orochi 4 isn't as good as Hyrule Warriors, it is still a solid title with a ton of content to sift through. If you like any previous Warriors game, you'll like this one as well. Plus, it's not as terrible as Dynasty Warriors 9.

I love this style of game and it honestly does not disappoint! You hack and slash your way through hordes of enemies with epic weapons and abilities with so many characters from the dynasty and samurai warriors franchise that you seriously have fun each moment!

The Warriors games are always a good way to pass some time. Plow through an army of soldiers, fight their general, move forward. Rinse and repeat. The Switch version holds up well enough. The frame rate dips here and there, but it's nothing terrible.

If you could tolerate or get over the story line, it is a game that makes you feel awesome when you take down all the enemies. Great combo and huge number of characters to control!

I guess we can say these warriors games are what spawned many other companies to license their own warriors games using their franchised characters. However these are the original iterations and their stories, characters, and fights are very original considering it is not as well known as say a hyrule warriors cast or a drag quest warriors. Its still worth picking up on a discount although the warriors orochi 4 ultimate just released containing more extras and all is many many dlc included.

If you’ve played Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors then you pretty much know what to expect. It’s more of the same but with a ridiculous roster. Plus this time around they have added gods to play as, such as Odin. It’s fun to have for the Switch and I normally play docked so I haven’t tried out handheld mode yet, but I do like that it has that option.

I have played the Orochi 2, it was a good game. so I bought this game. This game shows lag when I was playing it with the base, but no lag when I was playing it as handheld game console. I don't know the reason for it. For the game, I think It's good.

If you are a fan of the previous entries I think you will enjoy this next installment. This game has so many characters to level up you will be playing for many hours to unlock everything. Online co op is a nice bonus to play with friends.

Best warriors type game. It has easy level to hard levels so you can perfect your experience playing the game. You can practice and get perfect. But overall the game is so much fun and you simply can’t put it down. Target enemies and perform multiple convos and super slashes: best game!

I'm still getting used to this game. I really like warriors type games, and don't have much playtime in this one, but so far, so good! I'm very happy with this purchase.

Fun game if you are into the Dynasty Warriors games. Best part os being able to play it portably. I normally prefer the Empires games, but this was my first time playing an Orochi and it ranks up there. Definitely pick it up at this price.

Warrior Orochi 4 is a great game with the highest number characters of all the series. The magic system add more to the hack-and-slash gameplay. I wished they add everyone from Warrior Orochi 3.

If you are looking for a good hack and slash game then this will be a good fit. This game is jammed with content so expect a lot of value. Visual is rough around the edge for the Switch.

My honest review of this game is it’s good but too many dlc. You can even search it up and this games holds the most paid dlc in history.
As for the game, it’s ton of fun on the go and to me on par of with other great hack and slash games excluding dynasty warriors 9.
All and all, if you are completionist and want every content it’s going to cost you more than the game itself. I’m talking about season pass that doesn’t include everything, legendary weapons, mounts and other soundtrack. Good game with lock in game content otherwise.

Ive been waiting for a great dynasty warriors style game to come to the switch. Fire emblem warriors didnt do it for me. This game has a ton of characters and individual special attacks. Fans of the genre will eat it up.
