Yes: it is an old-fashioned Hard drive. It works almost as fast as the "cheap" SSD. It is a ton cheaper that solid state anything right now. I needed more large storage. This works fine.

As it scrapes the disks platters, it irreparably damages the read/write functionality. Alas, my personal extenuating circumstances, as a Palisades Fire refugee, dealing with government deadlines, temp housing, plus recent urgent medical issues, I've missed very short-term deadline to return. Thus I am extremely disappointed with both Best Buy and Western Digital.
