So over the last 18 years I have built closet to 180 pcs (Not all for me haha).
I have always been a samsung guy buy but a few years when they started having issues I decided to give WD a honest go and I haven't been disappointed. Performance is the same 99% of the time and I haven't had any of them die, go bad, or have any issues, which I have had with samsung and other brands.
They also have aggressive sales making them my go to for nvmes right now, which is probably why the pricing on them has gone up because I am not the only person who things so!
Will buy this brand until they give me a reason I shouldn't

There's something special about pulling a NVMe SSD out of the packaging, marveling at the miniature size of the thing, and also knowing that it's going to hold oh so many PC games from your Steam library. It's the fastest one too. I cloned my boot drive to this new one and Windows is faster at loading up. Don't forget to enable resizable BAR to take full advantage of little stick of gum.

Bought two of these to put into my new build, using one as my boot drive, one as a data drive. They are amazing and probably the best drives for the money. PC boots to windows faster than I can get my monitors turned on. And all my games load near instantly. Will be buying a third if I some how run out of storage.

If you don't want to trouble yourself with deleting and redownloading games due to limited capacity, this SSD ticks a good amount of boxes. Top of the line read and write speeds. Minimal to null failure rates and backed by a commanding company in the field. There's little to no risk when considering this as your go to SSD, especially for use within your PS5.

I swapped this 2TB SSD into the ASUS ROG G14 since it only came with 512 stock. Everything is running well. System feels very snappy, and I have no complaints. Files transfer and games load quickly, as expected. WD has a software available for cloning SSDs which made my process very easy. I also got this on a pretty good sale ($120) which I am also very happy about.

Great drive for those looking to load apps and games at their fastest speed. I upgraded from a 1 TB SSD than was half the speed. This drive was about 7000MBs Read and 6800MBs Write. You could see the speed difference when loading apps. Temperature is about 47 C with no heat sink. Glad I bought this drive. If you're looking for a fast drive the WD SN850x will not dissappoint.

WD Black SN850X offers great speeds and amazing performance. Samsung 990 Pro drive edges it out in performance but the WD give one the best bang for the buck!
