This is a good size (1 TB) for the money. Worked fine the first time. Based on other WD hard drives I have, it should last me a very long time.

I bought this to be supplemental disk space for my SSD. This is a great drive: quiet, quick, and affordable. This is definitely something to add to your list if you are looking for another hard drive to put in your build.

Bought this drive as a replacement for an older drive that was having intermittent problems. There was no installation problems and has been running well.

So far no problems with the hard drive. It seems to be functioning just great and perhaps a bit faster than my old one.

This was just what i needed! HD was great but not so much fun replacing the failed HD. reloading windows was pretty easy just trying to find all the programs and passwords that i had can be a pain. new HD works great and really seemed to speed up my old computer.

These are great drives, fast for a traditional hard drive, reliable, and quiet , too. I use these regularly and have never had a problem with one.

I recently decided to make my computer dual boot Windows and Linux. Originally, I was going to get a 500mb drive but this 1tb drive was only a few dollars more so it was a no brainer to get it. It gives me plenty of room to grow. I cloned my existing hard drive with Win7 to this WD drive and upgraded Win7 to Win10. I then installed Linux on a separate partition. I now can spend most of my computer time in Linux without MS nagging me that my version of Office is outdated, I'm using the wrong browser, etc. but still have Windows for those rare times when I need it.

I installed this new drive in an old computer so that I could upgrade to windows 10.. working great speed is great and plenty of storage.
