It's a great drive with a lot of storage space. It's fast enough for the type of games I play and has been useful for storing documents, pictures and music.

I bought two of these hard drives and installed them in friend computers. They are easy to install and are very reliable. The price was the best I found online.

I have had so many hard drives tank in the last three years that I am good at installing new ones either in desktops or laptops. This time it was another desktop hard drive failure. The ones that I pulled from the OEM were either Seagate or Toshiba. I have replaced everyone with a Western Digital Disk Drive. So far, each WD has survived and been reliable. Good selection at Best Buy and they had a number for me to choose from. The rebuild process from a System Image Recovery Drive, also WD, a passport, was easy and no pain. Good product overall.

Excellent choice for large storage, WD is a very reliable brand, I've changed every 1TB Seagate damaged disk for WD, excellents result.

Excellent value, good solid drive. Speeds as expected. Nothing special, but the price tag is right. If you need a bunch of drives for system images, data archiving, or any application where speed isn't absolutely paramount, it's hard to beat the WD Blue 1TB for price and convenience. (By no means are the drives slow for what they are, they're just no SLC NAND SSD... but again, neither is their price tag.)

I wanted to upgrade the hard drive in my old desktop from IDE to SATA, as SATA is faster and cheaper. Instructions that came with this WD drive were not the best, and instead of providing the cloning software, I was required to download it. Had to do that on another computer and save on thumb drive. My computer is an old office computer, and I was able to contact their IT dept to get the administrator's password to activate the SATA. Had to get an SATA cable and a power adapter cable, too. WD warns that you might have issues if you have a RAID card. Don't know if my computer has one, but as I was re-loading everything, I did see something flash by about RAID. From what I've read Seagate doesn't have the RAID card problem and they include a CD with the cloning software and a cable. Had I known that before I bought this, I would probably have gone with Seagate, but the WD is working fine now.

Purchased this as a replacement for a failed HD. Installation was easy, formatting went smoothly and operation was as expected.

I've bought several Western Digital hard drives over the years and always love 'em. Got this one to add to my Windows 10 PC for extra storage as a second hard drive. Installed in minutes with no issues. Didn't come with a SATA cable so had to rush out and get one but that was the only thing I wasn't crazy about.
