So far, and I hope I don't jinx myself, I've never had a WD hard drive give me a hard time. This one is no different. I installed it in my sister's computer in conjunction with a solid state drive, allowing her to balance the weight between the two of them. It's been a real trooper, doing exactly what she needs it to do. The speed isn't amazing, especially not compared to a good SSD, but I expect it'll last for a long time.

Was easy to set up and load from backups. I haven't used it for much other than storage, but find it fast and easy to use. I was able to use all the equipment from the previous box that was compatible with Win10.

I've always loved and recommended Western Digital HD and I've yet to be let down.This 1TB HD is great and running smooth in my newly built rig. I love the space that I have to where I can partition my hard drive and run 2 O/S and still have plenty of space between the 2. Could be slightly quieter but its not a huge gripe, because its not highly noticed.. I seriously would recommend this WD HD for any build from Desktop to Laptops and even game systems/consoles..

My computer is running 100% faster and better since I put this new hard drive in! Super easy to install and setup!

My hard drive crashed on my computer. For a gray-haired, nearly 60-yr. old woman, it was an easy install.

Replaced my fried Seagate with this WD. Easy to hook up and install, works great to date. Reliable product for the price.

As a basic HDD for my desktop, all I really have to say is that it worked as intended and expanded my storage capacity by a lot. It was easy to install but make sure you have your own SATA cable and power connector.

It's a decent, basic hard disk drive. This disk drive I used to replace a defective Western Digital Black hard drive in an office computer. After replacing the Bad drive I was able to Re-installed windows 10 professional 64 bit operating system. I ran complete diagnosis for Computer Hardware and the diagnosis did not report any issues. Price was good and it was readily available. I will recommend it to my colleagues.

One of my coworkers hard drive failed, and we needed a replacement quickly. Best Buy had a good selection, and after talking with the associate, I chose the WD Mainstream 1TB drive. It has proven to be a ggod performer, and was a great value.

This hard drive hasn't given me any problems yet. It has plenty of storage for most needs and runs at a decent speed

I needed to replace a dying hard drive in one of my clients PCs. I unplugged the old drive (click-death) and plugged this one in. I plugged in my Windows 10 boot flash drive, started the system up and had no problems reinstalling windows. (Windows 10 reports to Microsoft during installation, so it remembered that this was the version that had been previously installed on this PC).

Needed something when my hard drive crashed. This was a relatively inexpensive and easy to install item.
