I haven't owned this drive all that long, not even a month yet so it's a little early to tell about the longevity of the drive. I bought this drive to replace a failing boot drive in an older computer. I had no issues at all cloning the old drive to this new one. This WD Drive is quite responsive in the old computer (bought it in 2005), it could be my imagination but it does seem as if programs open quicker now. I own several internal and external Western Digital drives, some as old as 10-12 years old and they are still operational. If the older drives provide any indication of the life of this new drive, I'm sure I will be pleased as always with WD products.

my original Hard drive on my PC failed and this was the replacement. Has been a great functioning Hard drive for all my person needs.

I wish I had picked up a couple more, because I went back a week or two later to buy another, and they were sold out. I went to a competitor, and had to pay ten dollars more.

I am not an expert by any means but this hard drive replacement was very easy. I did learn the hard way that to replace a defective hard drive with the same capacity model.

Found this quickly and for a great price at my local store. If you're looking for the right HDD for your new desktop or you just want a back up. You can do a lot worse then this one here.

Needed a new hard drive for my computer. This drive was a great value, easy to install and comes with free Acronis software for cloning my old drive. Everything I wanted.

I use this hard drive as a back up to my main drive, works great no problems installing the only thing is you do have to buy SATA cable as one is not provided for it.

The hard drive is doing pretty good but still are having a problem with the computer being slow and trying to get used to the new format when the home page comes up.

For every day use, this drive is more than enough. It’s quick enough to do the work needed but it’s no SSD. For a regular office/home office this is perfect.
