Added drive to two computers and have had good results with both. Easy to Format and use and added significant storage to them for good price.

Installed the drive a few weeks ago without any issues. After initial setup with the Windows OS, the computer recognized the drive right away. Had approximately 3.7TB of free space available and the performance of the drive seems to be good. Hope it lasts as long as my other WD drive.

WD blue hard drive is perfect! I was able to install it on my desktop and got working in no time. I was also able to download a couple of games for testing since I personally wanted the extra storage for big open world games and it runs phenomenal! Load times are pretty good and not far off from my SSD only about a couple seconds and it really doesn’t make a huge impact and performance is maintained and everything works as it should. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

i read disappointing reviews elsewhere,especially on speed due to it being only 5200 rpm,i upgraded from a 1T wd 7200-AND this one is a little faster but definitely not slower and its at 900gigs full.program start ups same speed if not little faster than 64meg cache 7200rpm wd hard disks-so for just a upgrade in desktop storage space this is a great deal for 4T...it is definitely more than a Back up drive"works great as a main drive..must be the 256 mb cache that makes a difference...and its very quiet..download the free WD acronois for cloning or initial setup-

Massive storage, fast transfers, very reliable drive.

With a gamer in the family, memory is at a premium. This hard drive was exactly what was needed, easy to install, and we are not computer savvy. Works great and makes a big difference in gaming.

ok well to be fair in no way is this drive BAD ...but it's just ...so .... close ... to being prefect. for less than $100 a 4tb drive is a killer deal, but for anyone serious about REAL DATA STORAGE is gonna buy 3 for at least some level of redundancy, and for the same $300 to get 12tb -parity drive 8tb total. you can buy 2 8tb segate drives for $150 each ,even if you still have 1 parity drive you get the same 300$ to 8tb ratio. in summary its a good hard drive but i wouldn't personally buy more than 3 if your gonna spend $300 on drives get 34tb or 2 8tb.

WD hard drives are great. They are reliable, easy to install, and even easier to use once installed. It's a quick way to increase your internal PC storage.

Great drive to use for tons of games. I actually have 2x 4TB in Raid 0 for a combined 8TB with faster performance. Matched with my 2TB NVME my system is always ready for action. Please note if you are using the drive to save or backup your personal files then I do not recommend using Raid 0 since there can be a chance of data loss.

I AM IMPRESSQUALITY HARD DRIVEED WITH THE QUALITY AND EASE OF INSTALLATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO FRIENDS OR ANYONE WHO NEEDS A QUALITY HARD DRIVE.

This drive is great for what it is. Cheap [hopefully reliable] storage. I purchased this drive to consolidate 5 other hard drives (external and internal) and had no issues getting everything I wanted loaded on it. I regularly back-up and retire my hard drives about once every 3 to 5 years. I've had 10 Western Digital hard drives over the years and zero failures. I wouldn't want a drive like this (5400 RPM, 2 year warranty) for everyday use, constantly saving and loading - but just to fill it up and have it available for reading of individual files I have every confidence that it will exceed its 2 year warranty (lifespan). As the review summary indicates, the spec's on BestBuy.com state this drive is "color category: Black" which is misleading. I went to the local Best Buy thinking this was a steal on a WD-Black hard drive, but of course it is the "Green" lower tier drive. Was disappointed to say the least, but purchased anyway because it would suit my need and didn't want to delay my project. Took off one star for this reason.

Great hard drive for the price. My son installed it, he knows more about this stuff than me. He is very happy with it. Says he’s able to access things quickly and happy to double his storage capacity

This is a heavily used drive and gets moves large amounts of data weekly. It's very reliable and last a very long time. It's a very good price for the quality of the drive. This drive was purchased as a replacement for the existing in my computer. I replace the drive every 2 years due to extremely high usage.

Hard drive for network video storage. Easy to install and has worked as expected.

No problems whatsoever with this drive, easy to install quiet plenty of storage space for my work videos and music. I will purchase another in the future.
