Great value for basic storage! This is a lot of space to fill!

With its high capacity, this drive is ideal for secondary storage. I've used WD Blue series drives for many years, and they're long-lasting and reliable. This drive replaced an older WD hard drive in a Linux system. Installation was simple and straightforward, and it runs very quietly. Note that it's a slower (5400 RPM) drive, which would not be ideal for a primary system disk, but it works great for data storage.

This HDD is quiet, and it initialized easy in Win7 64x. I've heard of people being reluctant to upgrade to this new wave of higher capacity drives, but I see no reason to be if everything is backed up as it should be.
It's relatively fast, easy to setup, even in an external bay, and was a good price at Best Buy.

I managed to snag this on sale for around a hundred bucks, which is pretty good at the moment. I now have plenty of room to reorganize my media as well as use it to run games off of. Unless you have a game that specifies use of an SSD, this should be fine for games.

Great Price! Convenient Curbside Pickup! I can always count on Best Buy to get what I need in a fix and feel assured if there is any problem with the item, I can get it quickly replaced or refunded since they are located in my Neiborhood. I usually get Western Digital Black HDDs, but this WD Blue model is pretty good, and the price was right.

I've been using Western Digital's hard drives for years, so unsurprisingly, my recent purchase of this drive has been useful, with the drive working as expected, as well as obviously allowing me to store more files.

I bought this drive and was working up getting all the components for my computer and finally built it this past week. The other internal hard drive from segate works fine but this one will not work. When I try to switch to online from offline it says error drive not ready but when I go into details in the actual drive it says it’s “drive is ready”. I messed around with the cables and It wasn’t unplugged or anything different than my other internal HD. Pretty unfortunate that it doesn’t work. I threw away the original box as part of the cleanup so I don’t think I can return it either. That’s a fault of my own. Waste of a good chunk of money and I still need more storage :( I’m sure it would have been nice because of the amount of storage you get. But a refund would be nice or a new one.

I love all WD products. They are hardy and trustworthy. The blue line such as this one is a great option to store home files or your standard window back ups and image. You cant go wrong.

Bought this to add storage to a new lab server I am building. Went with WD because I've been using their drives for years and haven't experienced any failures. Was easy and quick to install.

So far the drives have worked faultlessly and tested fine in Windows and HP Diagnostics.
My Win 10 AMD 6x Phenom system is at least as fast as my new i7. It is ridiculous that Win11 does not support the old Phenom range

Just wanted to make clear to anybody looking for a 7200RPM hard drive that this is not it. It's a very good hard drive, but if you're looking for a faster performance, there are other options to consider. BestBuy is listing this as 7200RPM, I already asked them to correct it so others don't make the same mistake.
