Performs perfectly. Been using for a month. Easy to set up. Just plug in. I love it!

This external drive has tons of storage and runs smooth. No noise, no overheating, and fast transfer of files. I will note that I got this upgraded version due to a malfunction of a 4TB drive I had to return. Did I mention I lost all my data. I also own another 4TB but it's still operates and function as it was designed to do. so overall I'll say great product that's affordable and reasonable in price.

Western Digital is the go-to brand for external (and internal) hard drives. I have a 2TB version of this which still works great. I purchased this one to backup copies of Client videos. I will not purchase another brand.

Currently I am using this hard drive as a NAS drive and it's extremely user friendly to set up and has been extremely reliable and the time it takes to transfer content is satisfactory for an impatient person like myself.

Great size for the price. USB 3.0 but it is limited by the speed of the disk. Fine for archival, no redundancy. Just a big disk.

I purchased my book 6tb external drive to save all my Kayak fishing videos and it has excelled for what I need it! Very easy to use and easy to access all my videos once they're saved on there!

Large storage capacity allows you to backup all your important files. Easy to use and allows you to password protect your files. Would recommend to anyone that wants a backup drive.

I have always bought Western Digital external hard drives in the past. Now that larger external drives are becoming affordable I could not resist in buying the 6 tb external drives. I have never had a problem with their drives and I recommend buying them for your own use.

I used to be a seagate man but having installed Hard drive monitors on my computers, I could see that my seagates always ran SUPER hot and one after another started to fail. Thanks to the alerts from the hard drive monitor software I didn't lose data but what a waste. I have only had one WD drive fail on me in 20 years or so and the warranty replacement was fast and easy. Don't buy any other brand external if you want a reliable drive that will last you for a good amount of time.

I've become a WD household over the last couple years with six current products and a recently retired 7th. I felt confident enough in the My Book product line that I did not have to read a review before purchasing this one. The value for the amount of storage is really good. I use it to store digital media which I can then stream from a Plex server. File transfers are fast and reliable. It has had no crashes or problems being recognized by or streaming through my network.
