We use plex on the ipad so everyone in the house can stream whatever is on the hard disk whenever they want. Technically it looks like plex would even do this over the internet, we just dont have any use for that. No speed issues and as of DEC 30th it has been running for just over a month with no issues.

Great price, fast, lots of room

It has plenty of space and the usb 3 interface allows me to move the data very quickly. What used to take a day to backup on a USB 2 drive only takes a few hours on this device. Great price too and Western Digital reliability make it a best buy.
