Great cloud storage that you have control over. Allows the entire family to have there items stored in the cloud in the event of computer malfunction.

This was very easy to set up on my network. Works very fast. Works with my iPhone and iPad anywhere. Love how my Windows PC automatically is backed up.

The features on this product are great but the processor and/or memory is not sufficient. It would constantly hang up and the admin interface was virtually unusable. I returned this one and am trying the next model up hoping that it will work more reliably. I had to buy it online though because it's not available in stores.

After having my original begin to slowly deprecate, I decided to get a mirrored edition of the NAS drive. Great purchase with added protection.

I bought this to backup iPhones remote to prevent accidental loss of pics. It was pretty easy to setup and was working fine from home. I am giving it 3 instead of 5 because when I went away on vacation I was unable to access the device. I am not sure what happened, and may change rating after troubleshooting with WD

Although some reviewers say that it is kind of complicated to set up, I founded quite easy. Not sure if because I was expecting a more complicated situation and more trouble shutting, but it went pretty smoothly. I have to say that I'm not tech savvy but I have some basic IT knowledge. I use it to share docs, music and photos in my network between different devices and so far so good. The mirror feature it is a bonus and it gives me piece of mind knowing that those irreplaceable files are somehow more safe.

I didn't expect to pay as much since its replacing a wifi extender, but very happy with its performance.

Initial set up procedure was poorly documented and counterintuitive. But after a session with tech-support, the installation is running perfectly and smoothly ever since. I would buy it again, but would still need the visit from tech-support. Nevertheless, I recommend it, as the functionality is exactly what I'd hoped for.

The best thing about this product is not having to backup my backups. It is all automatic with my mirror. I use to have 2 independent external hard drives for my backups. One went BO so I was Ok but it was always a pain to backup the backup just in case which turned out to be a good thing. Anyway at my home we do everything on the mirror instead of on out computers & it is all backed up automatically. Thanks Western Digital.

Bought this for secure file storage across a network. It hasn't disappointed with speed and reliability!

This unit is a good value for the money with the included Red HDD's. Setup could be easier if WD did not require the cloud registration like other brands. With some networking knowledge this unit can be changed after registration to work without cloud connection.

Happy with the application, set up and ease of use.
