I use it to listen to a large music collection on my phone anywhere I go. Easy to load.

Works seamless, easy to use, install, and setup. Easy instructions on the internet.

Pro: now that it is set up it seems to be giving us everything we need. We are a small office of 3 and we needed to be able to all see and edit the same files and telecommute sometimes as well. We can now do this. Great tech support. They were able to remotely set up the drive for us. One tech is as not helpful but one was amazing and got it all set up. In both cases though it was easy to get the appointment to talk with someone. Con: Now this is a big con-it was not at all easy to set up. We did have existing files we were trying to load onto the drive and maybe it would be easier if this were not the case. I will say that if you are trying to do something similar as we were to bypass the WD sync it was much easier to do the map network drive instead (tip if you have problems to tell the tech)

Looking forward to having this device taking good care of my business back-up storage.

This is my 2nd mycloud device. The 1st one was amazing, so decided to get a 2nd one. Rating a 4 because one of the drive did fail within 1 year, but WD replaced it without delay or issues.

Not only allows remote access but also can be updated remotely.

No complaints. Easy to set up and has been running like a champ.

This device allows me to backup my phone and laptops!

Very fast dependeble and lots of storage for pictures

We have used the MyCloud backup non-mirrored system for our personal files for many years and it was invaluable when one of our computers crashed. Now we needed to make sure the files for our small business were backed up. With the mirrored backup we are more comfortable in knowing they are.

Before transitioning to the "cloud" - this a great way to back up real files, not compressed files that need to be restored. Great way to get organized and refine data storage the way you need them, not what someone else thinks you need.

I have this setup as a backup drive for my desktop. The WD supplied software was easy to install and configure, and my drive was up and running in a few minutes. The redundancy is important, as even backups can fail. Accessing information on the drive is fast, and transfers are quick.

I have an older NAS drive that is failing so I wanted a new device. The My Cloud Mirror worked well but I couldn't figure out how to transfer my old data. Consequently I'll have to continue my search.

Well we know that a backup can fail, but the odds of both drives in this mirror drive failing at the same time are a lot less. Make sure you have a good battery backup/surge arrest/power conditioner and you are in good shape for protecting your data!

Works well. Only issue is that it's tough figuring out the administrator password to be able to change device settings or reset the device.

As an IT professional, I read ads and reviews critically and am usually not surprised when products fail to meet my standards. This product is an exception...I love it and would recommend it to anyone looking to add network storage to,their home network.

Setting up Ethernet connection to router took some doing, using Google and not the provided web manual. Ended up directly connecting drive to PC. There are missing configuration cases in the manual. Otherwise, works as advertised.

Bought this to auo back up the school projects on the family laptops. Set up is not as easy as it could be, but a little reading online gets the job done.

I was looking for a NAS that was very quick with file transfers but didn't break the bank. This device is the answer! It's as close as you will come to enterprise capabilities without spending thousands of dollars.
