i don't really buy hard drives to store unimportant material - does anyone? So when I need reliability over the years through several purchases and other failed drives I've learned (pr noticed rather) that Western Digital is the one brand of drive I still have going on years and years of storage and use. They seem to last, and that cannot be a coincidence. I won't buy any other brand. This particular model is great, highly portable and lightweight. Fits nicely in any bag I take to travel or when I'm mobile with work. Built with durability in mind and they last. I have over 6 of these in regular use and only had one fail on me in over a decade.

Worked as expected. I am happy with how easy the external hard drive worked. I feel like my data is safer now

All our instructors run their classes off of portable hard drives so no matter what computer they might be using, they have access to all their information to run a smooth class. These devices run fast enough for playback of video with no hang up. They are small enough for storing in their computer bags that have little storage space. They are durable (I wouldn't drop it off of a building though). They get a little warm after reading/writing large files, but not where I feels it impedes its ability to still read/write at its optimal speed. I like WD when it comes to there large capacity storage devices.

The old one I had was from 2006. Amazing that it had finally become dated with my PS5 this year! 20 years is a long time for any electronics. Not sure if this one will last that long but I am just happy if it makes it a fraction of that time since we're using newer technology and hardware.

This portable hard drive stores 1 TB data. Price is very reasonable. It is very useful to store huge files containing videos and pictures. It frees up your internal hard drive.

The passport has been a great tool for recording TV programs. Not only is it effective, but also reliable over time.

My friend DJs music in his spare time, but he's old school and still uses vinyl. When he asked me to purchase a 4TB SSD portable hard drive, I didn't realize it would be that expensive. I bought it as USED, but it was in perfect condition and works great. He was able to download all his music and still had space left for more. The download speed is normal, and the noise level is typical; you can hear it working. The weight is on the heavy side, but it didn't get hot, and it's very durable. It was worth the price, and I would buy it again!

Got this for my daughter as she takes a ton of photos and wanted to have a physical backup of them all. Hold a ton. has it's own software that is unobtrusive and easy to use. Overall there isn't really much flashy about it, but it does the job and makes us feel more secure about not losing important pics.

I take this with me everywhere I go it is a must have to use with all of your devices!! Sleek and slim yet chalk full of free space for a great price!

This hard disk is so expensive but its as lot of storage which makes more compatibility too had my documents and other files of understanding the product make more easy.
