Best for running Time Machine on my new iMac for automatic daily backups

I was having trouble with my Mac, the operating system was telling me the hard drive was full. I bought the My Passport to download my files (mostly pictures) to free up space on the hard drive. My Passport is light, reliable, and easy to use. I would recommend this portable hard drive for anyone wanting to insure the safety of their data. The drive is powered via the USB cable that connects the drive to the Mac.

I swap out externals regularly for backups. Other one is a desktop. I prefer this size. Easier to transport offsite. Works fine. No power cord and already Mac formatted.

Small, Lightweight, Enough space for my needs. Does exactly as it should. I take this to my photography destinations and it holds up plenty well. Plastic case so it needs a little padding in the bag, but has held up well.

Nice and compact. Fast. Easy to use. Would have been nice to have a small carry case and put the cord in like my PC drive had. But that's just being picky.

It works great with Time Machine. It worked the minute I connected it to my iMac. It is small and does not occupy much space. Great buy.

Bought to backup MacBook Pro used for college. Easy install because it was already formatted for Mac. Just connect! Easy. Like the time stamp feature. Haven't had to reinstall a compromised data file, but feel secure should the need arise. Small size makes it easy to take to school without lugging extra bulk.

Very easy to use, really fast, light weigh, and easy to carry

I've never owned an external hard drive so before i made my purchased of course I did my research. It's very compact and not only is it easy to store its lightweight making it easy take with you anywhere. I'm mainly using this hard drive to store videos and photos because apparently the new macbook pro's aren't built to store massive amounts of photos and videos and after only a few months of owning my macbook I was out of storage space. Transferring files were easy, I would recommend this hard drive for all mac users.

This WD Passport drive that I purchased was extremely easy to install on my Imac.. One does not have to be a tech to set it up. Also the size of the drive only utilizes a small area of desk space and connects directly to my Imac eliminating another cable. I have confidence that my data is being backed up and is secure with this drive.

I am using this as a back external drive for a MacBook Pro. It works extremely well. The original internal hard drive needed to be replaced and I used this external drive as a back up. Transferred the external drive info to the new internal. It worked flawlessly.

Purchased for our desktop imac. Super easy setup to work seemlessly with Time Machine. This is an upgrade (for more storage) from an older model (less storage) that still works after seven years. These are great little backup drives and run a USB power. Super quiet and small.

This is best hard drive i have ever used. It is extremely fast and has been very reliable. If you are thinking about which hard drive to buy look no further as this one is all you are going to need!!

After a hard drive crash, I purchased this product for a user that needed something small and easy to use. Because the drive does not need an external power supply, this drive was ideal for the user.

Plug this drive into your laptop and make it easy to do your backups. The small size and weight make it ideal to take along on trips too. I have had no problems whatsoever and really like this drive.

I've been using this drive for 3 months and have no issues. I am using this drive to add storage to an Xbox One system. It was easy to use...just plug in, format, and begin using.

The WD My passport for MAC was so easy to use. I actually downloaded all of my music off of iTunes onto the passport. The amount of storage is amazing and the cost is minimal.
