This Western Digital 2T external hard drive for Mac is superb! It is fast, smooth, and remains cool - never heats up regardless of the load of the file transfer. The drive is light weight and low profile. Solid and stable USB connection. This is reliable hardware for occasional backup or full Apple Mac Time Machine backup. You should feel comfortable purchasing this item. *Remember, it is formatted for Mac, not Windows. My Best Buy cost was less expensive than Amazon. Picked it up the same day I requested it.

It's compact, nice look and feel, huge storage capacity and made for Mac. Works right out of the box and WD quality - what more can I say. Perfect accessary for my needs!

Great portable size, 2tb is plenty of storage for about 500-1000 movies depending on quality or just backing up all your data and taking it places without a cloud option to stream or access reliably. I use this on my 2021 MacBook Air and it backed up about 100gb in 20 minutes, I was worried it would be slow and should have spent more on a SSD version but this certainly impressed and will do all I need for typical backup and data transfer from Windows to Mac OS. (Be sure to format as ExFat file system so both computers can recognize data)

I got this to replace my old one which was full. This one is easier to use and hold much more data. It is made to be used with a Mac, so no configuration, which I love.

Never really used WD products as I am a Samsung guy, but I can honestly say this hard Drive does keep up with tec brands like Samsung, SanDisk and others, fast speeds, portable, and very easy to use.

After reading many positive reviews on a variety of venues, I purchased two of these as an additional back up for my photography. A friend who is a professional photographer advises backing up to 3 locations. He uses two external hard drives and a cloud storage provider. I am currently organizing and transferring my image files and I am impressed with the ease of use, speed and small scale of the Passport. It is so small and efficient! I literally plugged it in and was ready to go which means a lot to this tech intimidated person. I am well pleased with my purchase.

About the size of a cell phone with 2TB storage. Plugged right in and booted with no problems. I was able to move a lot of files off my main hard drive.

Works exactly like it said. After connecting unit to my Mac, it booted up, downloaded software, and was ready to go. I was copying files and photos within 10 minutes. Retrieving files is very easy also. I highly recommend this unit for speed and ease of use.
