Love this back up drive. It’s small, easy to use. And seems sturdy

I gave this a five star because of the size I am able to store all my photos, lesson plans, teaching materials and so fourth.... I'm amazed there's still so much space left. It really put my mind on ease when I need to store all these important things into it.

I needed to clear space out on my MacBook Pro and this has definitely worked. It’s easy to use and has plenty of storage.

Bought as a backup for a new iMac. Setup was a breeze. My Mac prompted me to reformat the drive and then started running a Time Machine backup. Compact and silent.

Excellent use between ipad pro 12.9 inch and a Lenovo laptop. Need to download special driver for P.C to play nice. Plugs and plays directly into Ipad though with no extra download.

Fast and easy to set up. I believe the only difference between the MAC drive and the regular is the set up, If the MAC one is not available the regular one would only take a couple more steps, about a minute more.

Needed this to backup my MAC that needs to go in for repair. I’m not that computer savvy and my husband explained how 4TB was overkill, oh well. I still have no idea what he said. LOL however all my “stuff’s’ on it and it was easy.

I have so many of these Passports for all my machines at home. Why cause they are great and they just work. Nothing wrong with having lots of backup options. Data is so important and most people forget to back it up. Remember "he who laughs last, made a backup"

Excellent performing external hard drive. Terrific value when I bought it on sale. Using it to back up pictures and videos connected to my iMac. Works perfectly for this since the hard drive is not that large on the new iMac.

So far, I am impressed and very happy with the WD - My Passport 4TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive with Hardware Encryption. I set mine up on my self-built windows-based desktop PC and it couldn’t have been easier to setup and use since all you really have to do is plug it in to your PC. The included USB cable provides the power required to operate the drive and it is nice not having to deal with an additional cable for power. I used to use an old external drive enclosure with old hard drives leftover from old systems for backup purposes but it was large, noisy, and required power from another source. All of these issues have been resolved by this My Passport drive including the sound issue despite the fact that it still uses a mechanical drive.

I received an external hard drive which just happens to be what I ordered. How convenient! Sure enough, plug it in an it works just the way you would expect of a hard drive.

Great device, fast speed and reliability is on point

Works great with my Mac Mini M1. I use it as a backup but I could also see using it as an extra attached hard drive. The USB A to USB C dongle is a nice touch as well.

Bought as a gift for several of my children. So far they seem to be working for them as they wanted. They were easy to set up and start using.

I bought this to back up my music and video production files and it does exactly what I need it to do. I use a WD-My Passport 2GB for my Time Machine backups, so I knew what to expect. I plugged it in, it mounted on my desktop, and I was using it within three minutes.

Amazing amount of storage in such a small package.
