I backed up on OS 10.6, upgraded to 10.10, and I've had no problems assuring that all of my data was saved and transferred. Since the upgrade I've backed everything up on 10.10 and it's still worked perfectly.

The WD passport fits both criteria at a reasonable price. Very quiet and good speed for transfers. Works right out of the box with Mac's Time Machine. Overall, very satisfied with performance.

Works great with my macbook air

It also comes with backup software that is made for my mac and other utilities that I have not used but at least I know it is there. I use it encrypted and it is still very fast.

Great to store almost anything

Perfect replacement for an old model WD Ext HD

This was a perfect replacement. Only wish I knew of the special pricing for the larger capacity model the next day.

Definitely wasn't expecting it to be as simple and straightforward as it ended up being. Would definitely buy again if I end up needing another.

Connects well. I hope it doesn't get lifted at the Law School library like my favorite Callaway pullover.

Just plug it in and drag over the files you want to save. I used it to put about 3,000 pictures into storage when I bought a new computer.

Easy backup with Time Machine
