Although it's a 2.5" drive, it is plenty fast, frequently surpassing 100 mb/sec transfer speed for large files. The included encryption is a nice bonus for protecting sensitive files. Highly recommend.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The hard drive works exactly as I hoped it would, as I partitioned it and have half of it for Time Machine and the other half for hard backups and storage. My only complaint with it is that you have to download a special add-on for it to work with Time Machine. It's not a big deal in the long run, but it's a little strange that a hard drive with a USB-C plug requires additional content to work.
