Its a hard drive, it wasn't dead in the box so I'd say its a good product. Bonus though, the Switch 2 was on the shelf so I got one of those too!

We bought this to store video for surveillance recording. Our old system was only able to go back 2 weeks, this one has stored everything for the last month. Works well, stores so much and for the cost, cant beat it!!!

worked as advertised, Using it for my Reolink NVR.

I used this 4tb drive to replace a WD Purple 1tb drive that came with my Samsung / Wisenet camera DVR. I have 8 1080p cameras recording 24/7 and with the 1tb drive I would get about 4-5 days depending on activity. So far I am over 2 weeks and it is still not full. Working as expected and switching the drive out was pretty simple.

Specifically I’d like to give an excellent rating to the employees in the audio/visual home security department. Several employees in other departments told us incorrect information, but the 2 gentlemen from the home security audio/visual department were a huge help and directed us to the correct item that we needed.
