    This is a great drive if you need both space and speed. It is far from the fastest SSD you can get, as it relies on an older PCI-E version, but I use this to store my digital assets for DAZ and other 3-D design software. I wish it was a little faster, but my files do load pretty quickly and I needed the 4TB version because of the amount of data I have stored on it. If you can get away with a 2TB drive, there are plenty of options that are speedier than this drive. There are also other brands that have 4TB SSD's like this one with much better performance, but I trust WD and can't afford to lose my work. Yes, I have plenty of backups, but a failing drive is not fun to deal with, so I went with this one.

    Price per TB of this is absolutely insane. I paid extra for this over the Crucial 4TB because WD is known for their reliability and you definitely want that when you have 4TB of downloads on here. It actually comes with 3.63TB of available memory. I have mostly media files on mine have had no issues with it so far. When you install it into your PC, it'll show up on boot and in device manager but wont be immediately available until you adjust some settings to allow it to be used for memory. Had to do some digging online but the solution is out there.

    Good value. Data response has some latency, but for the price, it is a good chip, particularly if you are using it as an internal archive library.
