We were able to surf the Internet and stream video on our phones. When I used the phone as a hotspot it didn’t seem to work very well though. That may be the phone though, it was an Apple 8 plus.

We were amazed at the increase in cell phone reception. We live in the country & our reception is normally poor. However, Internet reception was not increased very much. Our motor home is 39 feet. We ordered a longer cable for installation that has not arrived yet.

Great Product for a Remote Areas

Put it on a 25 foot pole above the travel trailer and was able to get 4 bars of Verizon cell service and 4G on my cell phone. No one else in the area was able to get any cell service at all. Only drawback was that I had to put my cell phone right next to the desktop antenna. But at another, less remote location, I could have my phone 3 to 4 feet from the desktop antenna. We did not permanently install the booster, but move it inside and outside the trailer so we can use our phones in lots of areas. I would highly recommend this product.

I am sorry that the unit wasn't able to perform it's role in providing that service. Sometimes with our units there are unseen factors that may play in affecting how the amplifier will work. In your situation, it sounds like there was excess signal "noise" outside your RV. That means when the amplifier picks the noise up from outside, your phone can confuse that for actual signal and makes the signal worse or unusable. Unfortunately, there's no way to change the signal outside but we could replace parts and the unit itself, make changes to antenna placement and other testing to be sure that you can receive signal the best way possible.

We also live in rural Virginia so it helps at the house. I do get more bars with the unit. Wish it was even more helpful considering the cost.
