It won't work with the Chromebook operating system. I tried to call and find out what I needed to purchase prior to buying the Webroot and no one was any help.

Posted .Chromebooks are generally not compatible with antivirus software (as well as many other softwares) because they are running ChromeOS. If you have a Webroot subscription, you can use the Webroot filtering extension which is available on the chrome app store.

I downloaded the free trial, it never found any concerns with my computer, and once the trial was over it kept itself open on my computer persistently. I can't quit it or even force quit the window. When I open it in the root folder, it wont even allow me to uninstall it or move it to the trash. Webroot is a parasite that hooks onto your computer and doesn't let go.
