What can I say? This film is dated but still hilarious!

If you love this film and don't own it, I recommend it. If you have it on DVD the picture quality probably isn't a whole lot better. I had fun watching it since I hadn't seen in it in many years. Very funny movie but not a great Blu-ray.

    A "Good" Movie

It will never be mistaken for an Academy Award winner. It's a throwback piece of 1980's nostalgia, however, with a very young Robert Downey and Bill Paxton and more in the cast.. And music by Oingo Boingo!

If you think you will be viewing what you viewed in the 80s you are wrong. Some of the dialogue is dubbed. Especially, the curse words and provocative terms. If you don't mind that then you will be ok.

    Where's the Magic?

How does one review such a colossal misstep? On one hand you have a John Hughes movie, a directors who's films have impacted and influenced an entire generation, on the other hand you have a Blu-Ray that has been DNR to the point of absurdity. The picture quality might not be the worst I've seen, but that doesn't mean it's expectable either. The whole point in Blu-Ray, as a format, is superior picture and sound, this doesn't offer that. In a film about a magical character, the poor decision to release this takes a great deal of the magic of owning it out of the picture.

This is a cute movie but I would say the quality on Blu-Ray is not any better than what you would see on a basic DVD. Save a few bucks and just get a DVD

This is another 1980s John Hughes coming-of-age movie that stars Anthony Michael Hall, Kelly LeBrock and the late Bill Paxton as Hall's jerk older brother. Hall and his buddy, two computer nerds, create their fantasy woman via computer. It may be a good movie for teenage computer nerds, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone else.
