Wasted 4 hrs trying to disprove they went bad so fast... but it happens with electronics I guess. For those looking for a clear simple answer, these are Not for Smart Lights, (despite a Wemo rep saying they are in a faq somewhere). Turn this switch off and your smart lights are dead (no power). You have to turn the switch back on via, voice, app or switch and then issue more commands to turn the light on depending how your power restore option is set. Mine went back for a refund, as I was looking to foolproof Wiz smart lights to allow anyone to operate them without training.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's wireless light switch works great after you give a three or four leeway's and a 20 minutes to 30 minutes to hook it up onto your Wi-Fi cuz it has to be hardwired to your system so you have to remove the switch and replace it and the cover replace it and if you have a light switch next to it do you have to replace that also switch if it doesn't meet the same design as the panel you're going to put on by putting this new wireless light switch on to program it you have to read it carefully it took me a few times to get it right Anna learn what their lingo means to me when I'm hooking it up but now in retrospect my light switch works perfectly all the time unless the power goes out and then you have to go turn the switch on yourself.

This device replaces a Jasco Z-wave switch. The z-wave protocol wasn't very stable. I'm happier with the wifi format of the WeMo. My Jasco switch didn't have a convenient reset mechanism. The WeMo does. Right in the front there is a toggle. And the app is very good as well.
