No lag time between me telling Siri to turn the lights on or off. And we use it for the Christmas tree.

Little difficult at first to install but once you figure it out it's a good lil plug

I've been owning these plugs for over half a year, all of them periodically stopped working (lost wifi connection) multiple times, and I need to factory reset each time. They are on the latest firmware and I have the latest iOS. In contrast, I have other smart plugs from a different brand and bought cheaper, they work all the time. These plugs are just faulty, do not recommend at all.

I'd used Wemo smart plugs in the past, but I didn't like their huge size and they tended to be hard to connect and lost connection often. Based on that experience, I moved to another vendor. When the opportunity came up to review these new Wemo Smart Plugs, I decided to take a chance and see if they'd improved at all. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised!! Firstly, the new models are tiny in comparison and leave you options on where to install them that weren't available with their earlier models. You even have plenty of room to put two in one duplex outlet; something that would have been impossible with previous versions. As far as connection/setup goes, that's improved incredibly too. Previously, I had to be right next to the plug to get it to recognize it for pairing, but with this version I set up a plug on the other side of my house from my office and it paired immediately! Very impressive range and the setup was quicker than expected. I had no problems setting mine up with my Android tablet and never even looked at the instructions. There's a card that comes in the pack with Aztec type bar code that you can scan, but I didn't even need that - I simply let the app scan for devices and it found the plug immediately. Again, I need to mention I was doing this for a plug that was on the other side of my house! If you have any experience setting up smart Wifi devices, then the flow will be familiar to you. To be honest, I never thought I'd reconsider Wemo but they've obviously put in a LOT of work to improve their products; I'm really pleased with these new WSP080 plugs and they offer a high value for the price. They are built solid and respond quickly to commands and offer connection options to Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT (not to mention working great with the open source home automation software I use - HomeAssistant). Truly impressed with how far Wemo has come and how much work they put in to improving their products; my experience has left me with the confidence to look into other Wemo devices. Works as promoted. My wife and I are very satisfied and feel safer. Would definitely recommend to our friends.

Used this to control Christmas lights. Works great but updating to current firmware is a pain.

Did as advertised. Here I am filling up space because I'm required to type something out that's atleast 50 characters

I have several of the around my house and have NEVER had any issues with any of them.

These were tricky to set up but the customer service was top notch and they got us up and running quick enough

Bought this plug to connect a table lamp and add the plug to Apple HomeKit. After setting up the plug (using the Wemo app and updating the plug via the Wemo app's update feature to the latest firmware), the plug worked fine for the first day or two. However, each time I leave home and come back, HomeKit doesn't get a response from the plug (it's connected to WiFi, though, which I can see in my Eero app). I have to close and restart the HomeKit app; sometimes restarting the phone for the plug to be responsive in HomeKit. Just not worth the trouble. Look elsewhere if you're a HomeKit user.

LOVE IT! No more entering into a dark room, this plug device now connects me to Amazon dot. "Lights on Alexa".

Got one to work and other two not. Worked with there tech support and they had me doing some crazy stuff

I used it to plug in my coffee maker and lights in the living room. So very convenient to control from my phone.

Very nice to add to non-smart utilities. Integrating household items into the smart circuit is useful and convenient.
