Was Not Happy With This Product

I got these for my parents to use with their Alexa to take advantage of the voice control. I couldn’t get them setup without bypassing Apple Home and it was really frustrating. After trying and trying to no avail, I threw in the towel and returned them.

The other two did work after much troubleshooting and I have experience with networking, so theres that. The other two werent that useful as I chose a different brand after my experience with these. Only one of them works now...

Not that great

Each fill fail once or twice a month. Usually unplugging the device and plugging it back in will fix the problem. New, out of the box, one plug would not work so I returned it for an exchsnge. Now another plug has failed. I won't spent another $24 replacing it.

It constantly cannot connect to the home app so I have to open the native Wemo app and operate it manually. The whole reason I bought this was to be able to use Siri integration for a fan that’s plugged into it. If I knew it was so flaky I would have bought a much cheaper option.

still not sure

Not good for HomeKit

These plugs are super hard to get connected. They just simply are a huge pain to connect and do not pair when the instructions are followed. Once I finally paired one a certain way, that way didn’t work for the second. Long story short, if you intend to use these with Apple HomeKit, skip it.

Fine when it works

It’s great when it works, but it constantly gets disconnected from Apple HomeKit, and then it takes me an hour to get it back working properly having to call tech support and everything. I really wish I hadn’t bought it

Horrible HomeKit Experience

They worked with HomeKit for a couple weeks and now they are both “Not Responding”. I tried to reset them to factory settings, which also doesn’t seem to work. I followed the instructions and probably plugged them in and out of the outlet 50-60 times. Nothing has worked and I am unable to reconnect them using HomeKit. The entire reason I bought these was because of the fact that I didn’t have to download yet another app and create an account yo receive marketing emails every day. I ended up caving and downloaded the app to see if I could reset them that way. Much to my surprise, I can’t even connect them to the app, because I can’t reset them and get them into pairing mode. They are just completely undiscoverable and unusable. I will definitely be returning these. I won’t highly discourage anyone from buying these if you plan on using HomeKit.

Not so smart

It was recognized by the phone app but kept getting connection errors. Did a bunch of searching on line and figure out how to do a factory reset and update its software. Seems to work now. That was way too much work for what is supposed to be a Smart Plug.

Poor Instructions and 1 out of 3 dead

I’m not really happy about this 50$ for 2 plugs what a waste of time and money.

Upon setting up the Wemo WSP080, we must make that the LED alternates between white and orange as it means that it is ready for setup. To manually reset the Wemo WiFi Smart Plug to factory defaults, unplug the Wemo device, and hold down the power button and plug it back in. Keep holding the power button for 5 seconds while the Wemo device is booting up.
