Can't set up.

I have tried to set it up a dozen times, reset the plug, the app, restarted etc. and it still wont work.

The wemo app was constantly under some kind of software update. The plugs would not stay connected to wifi. I highly recommend going with a smart light if you plan to use it for lighting purposes.

Don’t bother, not good.

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered two of these, and they worked well for first month or so, that’s why I gave a second star instead of the 1 it deserves. We have a different WEMO plug that is really nice and functions consistently well, which was why I got more from this brand. But this model does not live up to that same standard! It constantly loses it’s sync to our Amazon alexa devices, and now it’s gotten to the point where they don’t even work properly through the actual WeMo app either. Would not recommend to anybody that expects thing to work properly for longer than the initial month of purchase.

The Wemo WSP080 Smart Plug should have a stable connection with the Homekit App. Make sure that the firmware of the Wemo plug is up to date, and try to reconnect the plug to HomeKit for isolation. Not worth it

I’ve tried every troubleshooting tip I’ve found. It’ll connect then the app indicates it’s not connected to the network. The only tip I haven’t tried yet is to take an extension cord out to the end of my WiFi range to try to set it up. Not sure what the neighbors would think about that. Basically what I’ve learned is that you need to be on a 2.4ghz band to connect but my WiFi box doesn’t allow for me to switch. If it does I don’t know how and really shouldn’t have to mess with any of that just to connect a device to the network.

One I need to replug everyday and one I had my Christmas tree plugged into. It worked great and then one night at 8:00pm it just shut off never to work again.

Fries every smart device you have

I’m going to return my smart plugs if I still can’t get them working right. The second you plug it in, it completely shuts down the functionality of every other smart device you have. All my hue lights were working fine and 30 seconds after plugging in one of these plugs, all the lights became unresponsive. Went from 0 devices unresponsive to 12 devices unresponsive right when I plugged in this smart plug. If you live in the Stone Age, then this plug will work for you.

Wanted these to work, but...

Wanted these to work, but not as seamless and reliable as I'd like/expect. Guess I've been spoiled by how all Apple products work so well together as an ecosystem that I don't have much patience for things that don't. On the positive side the build quality seems good and if you can get them working I'm sure they would prove long-term durable, but then... how much can go wrong with a plug? )))

Great concept/poor execution (and customer service

They just stopped responding to homekit after a few days and never started working again. I returned them to best buy. They are very cheap but they did not seem high quality to me. Please read the WEMO reddit and support pages before purchasing these. PS I was also unable to create an account in their app. The app froze after putting in my email every time. I contact support multiple times to no avail.

Worked like a charm for about a week and now every single day devices are not found and I have to reinstall them daily. Just read the reviews on your app store for the Wemo app. Ongoing issue for years, wish I had known this before hand. Doubt they will ever be fixed. Will be returning my un-opened ones to the store and dealing with the Belkin warranty on the others to push for a refund.
