    Doesn't work reliably with Apple HomeKit

    They actually don't work with HomeKit. I tried adding it as an accessory. It does get added and works for the first hour or so. Later, HomeKit says the accessory is unreachable. WiFi coverage is strong as the switch is location only 15 to 18 feet away from direct line of sight of my router but still it cannot turn on/off with HomeKit. I also tried factory reseting it and syncing again...same issue

    I am working to change my house into a smart house. I had a different plug that came with lights that was their bridge. Since this was a 3 pack, I was hoping this brand will be helpful. I spent the whole time trying to get two of the three just to link with the Wemo app, let alone trying to tie it into the house system. After fighting with the second one and going through support through the Wemo, I just pack them up and return them. Just because the package say it is smart doesn't make them smart.

    I am a big fan of WeMo products but these did not work out for me. I bought two packs bury I was only able to get half of them paired so I ended up returning them.

    Terrible App

    I used to love the Wemo smart plug ecosystem as I have two plugs for the lamps in my master bedroom. However upon recently buying this new plug and trying to use it, the app told me that I needed to create an account. I spent a while trying to create an account on both android and iOS but to no avail. I'm sure the product would be fine if the app wasn't such a piece of crap. I would stay far away

    Absolute junk! Best Buy is selling them as a bundle with the Apple HomePod Mini. *buyer beware* These are utterly useless just like other reviewers have stated. Honestly, they should have paid me just to waste my time with this junk. Forget about support. But if you truly think about it, why would you need support for a device that’s supposed to be plug and play?

    The Wemo smart plugs are a very handy Smart home accessory. They were quite easy to figure out. I am using them with the free Wemo App. The App allows you to easily connect the Smart plugs through your home WiFi. Once connected, you can use the App to turn the plugs on and off or set up rules, including: a schedule for the plug to turn on and off at specific times daily or certain days of each week or an auto timer to turn the plug off after a set amount of time. You can also set up an away mode, which lets you set up specific hours of each day that the plug will turn on and off randomly between those hours, so something like a lamp will turn on and off randomly at various times and it looks like you are home. I plan to use mine on lamps in different rooms when I travel so it looks like someone is home. It will also work great for my Christmas lights as I have a tree and other strings of lights that I like to turn on in the mornings and evenings and I can program them to all go on and off at set times. I'm sure I will be able to come up with some other creative uses also. While I am just using them with the Wemo App, you can also set them up to control them using Apple Homekit, Alexa or Google Assistant, all of which would then give you voice control and other programming features. These plugs can also be used in conjunction with other Wemo Smart home accessories if you want to do things like motion detection and other features. One other nice feature is that they are stackable. They were designed to be the right size that you can plug two into one wall outlet. While some Smart plugs are too big to plug more than one into an outlet, these are the right size to allow two or one with something else plugged into the other half of the outlet. If you have been looking for Smart plugs, I would recommend these as they are very versatile and easy to use.

    I bought these about a month ago to use in my living room. Since then, two of the three plugs have become "bricked". It does not allow me to factory reset the plugs, nor use them at all. They just stopped working out of no where, and I tried and tried to get them to work with no luck. The Wemo Mini has been a great plug. Guess I might resort to those instead. DO NOT BUY THESE.

    Not a fan of these smart plugs, I could not get them to connect with Apple HomeKit and unfortunately I had to return them.

    Several don’t work after 6 months

    Bought 10 of these. 6 months later, only 6 still work. The light doesn’t even show on the device as receiving power. Too old to return now.

    These models are a disaster. I have about 8 of the larger Wemo minis and they work pretty well. I got this one about a month ago, the firmware updated on it, and this one becomes unresponsive after about 3 days and I have to go unplug it and plug it in again. It's now on its 3rd unplugging cycle. I guess I'll call Wemo support and will likely end up throwing this piece of garbage in the trash. Save your money, buy another model that works.

    The wemo smart plugs gave me trouble. They would not stay connected to my Alexa. Ended up returning them.

      You should still be able to control your Wemo WiFi Smart Plug using the Wemo app. But, we could have tried to disconnect and reconnect the Wemo plug to Alexa for isolation.

    These plugs are a terrific idea, especially for turning on lights prior to entering a room or as a safety light. However, they perform horribly. They periodically (and all too often) require updating, which means they stop working. In a 6-month period the plugs stopped working and needed to go through the set up process 5 times. Save yourself the aggravation and money!

    Good smart outlet let down by terrible software

    I held on to these for too long before setting up or they'd get returned. It took multiple attempts to get any of them to pair. At the end of the day, only one would pair and stay in the app. One of them the button to turn it off and on wouldn't change the power status at all, leaving it always on. I'd buy almost any other brand instead given the choice.
